Programming is required three days a week, or nine hours per week, minimum for IOP and lasts a minimum of <strong>12 weeks</strong>.</p> <p>The facility also offers <strong>medication-assisted treatment (MAT) utilizing Suboxone</strong> to assist individuals struggling with opioid addiction. The evidence-based medication is effective in minimizing withdrawal symptoms and curbing cravings. Clients in MAT may also be required to attend counseling sessions. In New Mexico, the center is among the <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/NM17.pdf" target="_blank">16.9 percent of facilities</a> to utilizing Suboxone.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>The center’s website indicates the treatment team includes licensed art therapists, counselors, family specialists, addiction specialists, social workers, psychologists, and medical doctors. The sole alum polled by Rehabs.com to date awarded five out of five stars for the staff's level of experience and training.</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>The single alum who was surveyed by Rehabs.com at the time of this writing left a mostly positive review. This former client gave Rio Grande Counseling & Guidance Services five out of five stars when asked if they would recommend the center, despite giving just three out of five stars for treatment effectiveness. However, the gave five stars for the facility's counseling options and amount of family participation.
