1. Historical ratings (licensed). When we acquired our facility database from Recovery Brands, LLC, it included user reviews submitted to rehabs.com and recovery.org through 2023. We license the numeric rating data derived from those reviews and display it as each facility's "historical rating," always labeled with its origin. We did not collect those reviews, and we do not republish their text. AI-generated summaries of those reviews, where shown, are explicitly labeled as such and are not reviews or medical advice.
2. Verified TopRatedRehabs reviews (first-party). New reviews are submitted on this site, verified by email, and moderated by our editors before publication. Only these first-party reviews carry the "✓ Verified" badge, and only first-party data is ever used in search-engine structured data.
Once a facility has 5 or more verified TopRatedRehabs reviews, the first-party rating becomes its headline rating and the historical rating moves to a footnote.
Facilities that claim their listing may respond publicly to verified reviews. To dispute a review or rating, use the contact page; disputes are handled by a human editor.
