As such, clients are not required to undergo an assessment before participating in the fellowship.

Along with treatment that addresses chemical dependency, RU is designed to address a range of behavioral health concerns, including eating disorders, gambling addiction, and sex addiction.

RU sessions at Shawnee Baptist Church are held each Friday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at . Much like 12-step programs, Reformers Unanimous is an ongoing fellowship without an average length of treatment.

The recovery curriculum includes a series of workbooks, instructional videos, and resource guides on a variety of topics, including co-dependency, behavioral modification, depression, and relapse prevention. All literature and coursework is based on Christian philosophies, principles, and practices.

In addition to completing coursework assignments, journaling, and studying fellowship literature, RU meetings may also involve devotionals, Bible study sessions, and peer-led counseling sessions.

STAFF CREDENTIALS

Recovery Unanimous groups are created by individuals who wish to create charters. Before an individual can create a charter, they must undergo an initial training course.

WHAT ALUMNI SAY

The sole alum polled by Rehabs.com, a female under the age of 18, gave the RU group at Shawnee Baptist Church a positive review.
