<p><strong>ABOUT LADIES OF PROMISE</strong></p> <p>Located in Louisville, Ky., Ladies of Promise is one of Kentucky’s <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/KY17.pdf" target="_blank">153 facilities</a> that provides services specifically for women. The facility provides <strong>residential treatment services to women</strong> seeking treatment for addiction. The facility is primarily designed for clients who recently left a short-term treatment program, jail or prison, or are part of a work release program. Detox is not available on-site. </p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>Treatment at Ladies of Promise is holistic and utilizes the <strong>Recovery Dynamics program</strong>, which is based <strong>12-Steps</strong>. The 12-Step program is used in <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/KY17.pdf" target="_blank">71% of facilities in Kentucky</a> and provides both a long- and short-term treatment option. During treatment, clients focus on completing step-work from the 12-Step program while <strong>developing sober living skills</strong>. </p> <p>Clients also use meditation as a major component of treatment. Clients participate in <strong>daily meditation sessions</strong>, which are lead by a trained meditation specialist. Clients also receive <strong>substance abuse education</strong> to learn a series of sober living and coping skills as a way of preparing for life after treatment. </p> <p>Clients also receive vocational training, placing it among the <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/KY17.pdf" target="_blank">40.1 percent of facilities</a> to provide <strong>job training and assistance</strong>. Clients can take advantage of the facility's job placement program to find employment soon after leaving the program. Clients that complete the program also gain access to the <a href="http://www.recovery.org/topics/extended-recovery-programs/" target="_blank">aftercare program</a>, where they can attend weekly meetings to continue their recovery. </p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>The treatment team includes an <strong>MD specializing in addiction and recovery medicine</strong>, a certified alcohol and drug counselor, and a mental health worker with a master-degree in education. The single former client polled by Rehabs.com at the time of this writing gave the facility just one out of five stars for its staff's level of training and experience.</p> <p><strong>ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES</strong></p> <p>The gender-specific facility is overseen by day-to-day managers that focus on creating a supportive environment to help clients focus on their recovery. The single alum surveyed by Rehabs.com to date gave Ladies of Promise two out of five stars for its accommodations and amenities.</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>J.J., the sole client polled by Rehabs.com to date, gave Ladies of Promise a mediocre review. They awarded the facility four out of five stars for its 12-step programming and its faith-based principles, and three stars for its treatment effectiveness and connectivity. Two stars or less were given to the rehab for its exercise and leisure activities, its holistic offerings, its family participation, its cleanliness, and its counseling options. When asked, on a scale from one to five, if they would recommend the facility, J.J. gave a rating of two.</p> <p>On its unofficial Facebook page, Ladies of Promise have a <strong>4.1 out of five star rating from 10 reviews.</strong><small class="footnote"><a target="_blank" href="#footnote-1"><sup>[1]</sup></a></small> Many alumni indicated that the program saved their lives. Charlotte wrote how the program uses β€œ12 steps of ALCOHOLIC ANONYMOUS and we have morning mediation and Recovery Dynamic and Study Group and Night Mediation.” On Google, the facility has a <strong>4.8 out of five star rating from five reviews to date.</strong><small class="footnote"><a target="_blank" href="#footnote-2"><sup>[2]</sup></a></small> β€œLadies of Promise is awesome and the recovery is the greatest in the nation,” Clinton wrote in a representative review.</p> <p><strong>FINANCING</strong></p> <p>No information is available concerning the cost of the program or insurance.
