<p><strong>ABOUT DESERT SOLACE</strong></p> <p>Desert Solace is an addiction treatment facility located is St. George, Utah. Founded in 2011, the center focuses on patients struggling with substance abuse, pornography addiction, and other sexually related addictions. The center is residential and utilizes the <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/UT16.pdf" target="_blank">12-Steps, one of 158 Utah facilities to do so</a>.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>After an initial assessment, the staff offers patients a full-time, individualized treatment plan. The staff puts intensive focus on sobriety and recovery.</p> <p>The facility mainly offers treatment rooted in the 12-Steps, with relevant meetings and coursework. However, the facility also offers a handful of alternative and holistic therapy, including yoga and mindfulness, and outdoor recreation. Desert Solace has an equine therapy program that the clinicians believe dramatically increases the ability for clients to heal through service and care.</p> <p>The program also offers aftercare for alumni.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>The facility was started by businessman Mark Jorgensen. His staff is made up of two clinical directors and an equine facilitator.</p> <p><strong>ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES</strong></p> <p>Though the number of beds is not available, each guest has their own bed and place for learning and private reflection. We've designed the center to look, feel and be experienced as much like a comfortable home as possible.
