<p><strong>ABOUT BHP OF CENTRAL OHIO, INC. - SPENCER HOUSE</strong></p> <p>Located in the community of Newark, Ohio, 33 miles east of Columbus, the 16-bed Spencer House is a service of Behavioral Healthcare Partners (BHP) of Central Ohio, a community-based, nonprofit treatment organization. Spencer House is a <strong>residential treatment facility designed to treat adult men struggling with chemical dependency</strong>. Through its network of facilities, BHP of Central Ohio also provides outpatient-based programs and services for individuals struggling with behavioral and/or mental health difficulties. The Spencer House does not provide medical detoxification services on-site.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>Before admission into the Spencer House, clients participate an initial assessment to ensure the Spencer House offers an appropriate level of care. To treats its residents, the facility combines evidence-based treatments, 12-step participation, and a therapeutic community model of recovery. <strong>The typical length of residential treatment is six months</strong>.</p> <p>While residing in the Spencer House, clients adhere to a structured schedule of evidence-based programming set in a therapeutic community model of recovery. Clients participate in <strong>individual and group counseling sessions</strong>, as well as educational classes, to help clients identify factors that may contribute to addictive behavior, set obtainable recovery goals, and learn <strong>relapse prevention techniques</strong>.
