<p><strong>ABOUT A HELPING HAND OF WILMINGTON</strong></p> <p>A Helping Hand of Wilmington in North Carolina is a family-owned and -operated substance use and mental health disorder treatment center that provides <strong>outpatient programming and medication-assisted treatment (MAT)</strong>. Coordination of whole-person care with community resources is a high priority. The center operates a second facility in Leland.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>Following detoxification through another rehabilitation facility, A Helping Hand of Wilmington <strong>prioritizes a continuum of treatment</strong>. Along with comprehensive clinical assessments, clients are encouraged to participate simultaneously in outpatient programming, <strong>an array of recovery support services, recovery residential support</strong>, and MAT if appropriate. <a href="https://www.recovery.org/topics/dual-diagnosis-recovery/" target="_blank">Dual diagnosis treatment</a> addresses the same need for integrated care.</p> <p>A <strong>12-week intensive outpatient program (IOP)</strong>, available in morning and evening sessions three days a week, involves <strong>individual, group, and family counseling sessions</strong> through education, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and <a href="https://www.recovery.org/topics/dialectical-behavior-therapy-for-addiction-treatment/" target="_blank">dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)</a>. Standard outpatient programming (OP), which clients attend up to twice a week, continues group therapy and education, addressing such topics as <strong>trauma, parenting, communication, and DWI issues</strong>. </p> <p>Once-a-week, group-based <a href="http://moral-reconation-therapy.com/aboutmrt.html" target="_blank">moral reconation therapy</a> is also offered through a six-month program. Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) , <strong>Vivitrol or Suboxone</strong>, is also available to clients in conjunction with counseling.</p> <p>A Helping Hand also provides access to legal, financial, and medical support. Services include drug testing, <strong>coordination with local employment programs</strong>, and referrals for spiritual, 12-step, and other support groups. In addition, A Helping Hand collaborates with <a href="https://www.rehabs.com/listings/new-life-launch-pad-2726287098/" target="_blank">New Life Launch Pad</a> and <a href="https://www.rehabs.com/listings/hope-house-3447639537/" target="_blank">Hope House</a> for supportive housing.</p> <p>One of the facility's more exceptional services is <strong>in-home mental health therapy</strong>, which is offered in a client's home at no additional cost.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>There is currently no information provided by the facility regarding its treatment staff, but the sole individual polled by Rehabs.com at the time of this writing awarded the level of staff training and experience a perfect five-star rating.</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>Rehabs.com has not yet received any feedback from former clients of A Helping Hand of Wilmington.
