<p><strong>ABOUT SOLUTIONS TO RECOVERY</strong></p> <p>Located on a suburban street in Pontiac, Mich., 30 miles northwest of central Detroit, Solutions to Recovery is a <strong>residential treatment facility for adult men and women ages 17+</strong> who are struggling with substance use disorder and dual diagnosis. Medical detox is not available on-site.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>Gender-specific treatment is split into three phases and based on the <strong>12-step model and the disease concept of addiction</strong>. Clients must submit to daily alcohol testing and random urinalysis testing at least once per week. The center provides medication monitoring for clients who need to continue to take medications throughout treatment.</p> <p>In the first phase, which lasts two weeks, the client and counselor work together to <strong>devise a Master Treatment Plan</strong> with goals and objectives. Clients are assigned a primary therapist, who provides them with <strong>individual counseling</strong>. They also participate in <strong>two to three group counseling sessions per day</strong>, on topics such as relapse prevention, cognitive therapy, and life skills.</p> <p>Phase two lasts from day 15 to day 90. In this phase, clients may go to off-site activities such as <strong>12-step meetings,</strong> and their schedule of group sessions may be reduced to one session per day.</p> <p>In phase three, clients may live in <strong>community housing</strong> while continuing to participate in the above services. All clients leave with a <strong>discharge plan</strong> for future achievable goals and objectives.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>Staff includes an associate social worker who’s also a certified alcohol and drug counselor. Both individuals polled by Rehabs.com to date on the staff’s level of training and experience gave it four out of five stars.</p> <p><strong>ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES</strong></p> <p>The <strong>90-bed facility</strong> is staffed 24 hours per day. Clients receive three meals per day and receive access to laundry facilities.</p> <p>Transportation is provided when possible. During the first phase of treatment, clients submit to a probationary period of <strong>no visitation, no phone privileges, and no off-premise activities</strong>. Clients are responsible for maintaining the facility’s cleanliness.</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>The single alum review submitted to Rehabs.com at the time of this writing was mostly positive. Though the anonymous reviewer remained neutral on the question of whether they would recommend the treatment program, they gave Solutions to Recovery five out of five stars for its overall treatment effectiveness and its holistic offerings, and four out of five stars for its treatment for co-occurring disorders.
