<p><strong>ABOUT GRACE CENTERS OF HOPE</strong></p> <p>For more than 75 years, Grace Centers of Hope has provided an array of <strong>services to homeless and low-income men, women, and children</strong> in southeastern Michigan. Individuals struggling with substance use disorder have access to a <strong>faith-based, long-term residential rehab program</strong>. Detox services are not available on-site, however Grace Centers of Hope does offer a <strong>child care program</strong> run by licensed early childhood educators. It's <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/MI17.pdf" target="_blank">one of only 30</a> treatment facilities in Michigan (just about seven percent of all facilities in the state) to provide child care to its clients.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>Treatment is Christian-focused and primarily provided as part of Grace Centers of Hope's <strong>one-year life skills program</strong>. Programs are <strong>gender-specific</strong>, and include <strong>individual and group counseling</strong>, bible study, church services, and training that supports <strong>GED completion</strong>, college education, and career development. </p> <p>Clients work with mentors, contribute on the facility's <strong>kitchen and maintenance staff</strong>, and attend classes. After nine months of treatment, they begin to prepare and <a href="https://www.recovery.org/pro/articles/how-addiction-can-interfere-with-your-job-performance/" target="_blank">search for a job</a> in the local community. Case managers also help residents to access community resources throughout their stay, such as legal and medical services.</p> <p>This facility's extensive <a href="https://clientreachapp.rehabs.com/listing/IAtaDoKE/editorial/notes" target="_blank">aftercare program</a> is offered for up to two years after graduation and includes both continued assistance with education and employment and access to supportive, low-cost, local housing.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>The women's program director holds a PhD and the organization's CEO is a pastor. Counseling is provided at least in part by case managers, and some services rely on community volunteers.</p> <p><strong>ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES</strong></p> <p>Website videos feature shared bedrooms (some with bunks), game rooms, <strong>TV and reading areas</strong>, and a chapel. Meals are eaten at cafeteria tables, and <strong>fitness equipment</strong> is available in both men's and women's facilities. The women's residence includes living and play areas for children who are staying with their mothers. In addition to food and shelter, clothing is provided to residents.</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>N.M.C., the one alumni surveyed by Rehabs.com to date, gave Grace Centers of Hope a mostly positive review. They awarded the facility four out of five stars for its cleanliness, its counseling options, its faith-based programming, and its staff's level of training and experience. While the reviewer did note that the aftercare and transitional services were sub-par, they nevertheless told Rehabs.com that they would recommend the rehab to others. "This program is the only one that I was able to remain sober for over three years. My case manager helped me get to the root of my addiction," they wrote.</p> <p>The rehab also fared well on secondary sites such as Google<small class="footnote"><a target="_blank" href="#footnote-1"><sup>[1]</sup></a></small>, where it earned an average rating of <strong>3.9 out of five stars</strong> based on 65 reviews. And on its Facebook page, which the facility can edit, the rehab received a <strong>4.6 out of five star</strong> rating based on the opinions of 185 individuals. The majority of former clients who left feedback across both sites described Grace Center of Hope as a caring and compassionate place offering solid assistance helping clients get back on their feet. In a representative review, Mark wrote: "I came in here on the 30 day program an managed to find a job an a place to stay when I exist, This program has worked great for me."</p> <p><strong>WHAT FRIENDS & FAMILY SAY</strong></p> <p>The two loved ones polled by Rehabs.com at the time of this writing offered differing opinions of the facility. One was dissatisfied with the program, noting that it was court-ordered and did not provide the best treatment, particularly when it came to the quality of its mental health care and it's offerings for leisure activities. However, the other reviewer gave the facility four out of five stars for its family participation and its counseling options, and noted that it was a good, family-oriented program (though they did add that it was in a bad area).</p> <p><strong>FINANCING</strong></p> <p>There is currently no information provided on the facility's website regarding its costs, however the two individuals polled by Rehabs.com on <strong>the affordability of treatment awarded four and three stars</strong>, respectively.
