<p><strong>ABOUT CENTER FOR BEHAVIORAL HEALTH LOUISIANA- SHREVEPORT, LA</strong></p> <p>With a focus on clients struggling with <a href="https://www.recovery.org/pro/articles/why-are-opiate-addicts-so-hard-to-treat/" target="_blank">opioid use disorder</a>, the Center for Behavioral Health operates addiction treatment facilities across the country. The center in the Louisiana city of Shreveport offers <strong>outpatient programs</strong>, including <a href="https://www.matrbehavioralhealth.com/" target="_blank">medication-assisted treatment (MAT)</a> via methadone and Suboxone, to adult men and women. Those seeking counseling through the Center for Behavioral Health are admitted voluntarily following a self-referral or referral from another agency such as a hospital, court system, child and family services, etc. </p> <p>The facility combines MAT with traditional counselor-led behavioral therapy. The facility does not follow any one counseling philosophy and allows each counselor to treat patients based on their unique needs and the various backgrounds and education of each counselor. </p> <p>Clients are required to participate in <strong>drug testing</strong> based on federal and state laws. All clients receive <a href="https://www.recovery.org/topics/extended-recovery-programs/" target="_blank">aftercare</a> provided at no charge. Lab testing is available for an additional charge. </p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>According to the facility's website, the treatment team includes <strong>physicians</strong>, pharmacists, nurses, and <strong>licensed/master's-level counselors</strong>. </p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong> </p> <p>The sole alum surveyed by Rehabs.com to date gave the Shreveport facility four out of five stars for its treatment effectiveness.</p> <p>On Google<small class="footnote"><a target="_blank" href="#footnote-1"><sup>[1]</sup></a></small>, the clinic earned an average rating of <strong>3.7 out of five stars</strong> based on 13 reviews. Complaints included long wait times and problems with other clients.</p> <p><strong>WHAT STAFF SAY</strong></p> <p>The five former and current employees who evaluated the Shreveport facility on Indeed<small class="footnote"><a target="_blank" href="#footnote-2"><sup>[2]</sup></a></small> gave it mostly positive feedback. They noted that, while difficult and at times overwhelming, the work was rewarding and most staff members were dedicated to the cause. "I enjoy working with this population because I feel we offer services to our patients which greatly impacts their lives and offers them the skills necessary for them to regain control of their lives," wrote one addiction counselor in a representative review..</p> <p><strong>FINANCING</strong></p> <p>According to the facility's website, the cost of treatment at the Shreveport location is <strong>$100 weekly</strong>, $15 daily for readmits and transfers, and a $25 daily guest dose fee for methadone treatment.
