<p><strong>ABOUT CUMBERLAND RIVER BEHAVIORAL HEALTH INC - CROSSROADS</strong></p> <p>Cumberland River Behavioral Health is a <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/KY17.pdf" target="_blank">private nonprofit facility, which make up about 52 percent of all treatment facilities</a> in Kentucky. The mental health center serves eight counties in Kentucky with more than ten facilities around the state, including locations in <a href="https://www.rehabs.com/listings/cumberland-river-care-center-2395636357/" target="_blank">London</a> and <a href="https://www.rehabs.com/listings/cumberland-river-comp-care-center-1044087279/" target="_blank">Harlan</a>. It also offers outpatient and crisis services to children and adults who are struggling with substance use disorders. </p> <p>Located in Corbin, Ky., Crossroads is <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/KY17.pdf" target="_blank">one of the 55 (15.3 percent)</a> of Kentucky facilities that offers <strong>residential treatment services.</strong> The <strong>30-day residential program</strong> offers non-medical substance use treatment <strong>for men only.</strong> The center primarily serves the local area, but will also accept referrals from around the state.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>According to Cumberland River Behavioral Health's website, Crossroads accepts referrals 24 hours a day.</p> <p>The Crossroads program is <strong>based on the <a href="https://www.recovery.org/pro/articles/did-aa-save-my-life/" target="_blank">12-Steps</a>,</strong> and features on-site Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA) meetings. On all its programs, CRBH hopes that clients will be active participants, and families are encouraged to play an active role in the recovery process.</p> <p>For those clients in need of further care at the end of the 30-day program, Crossroads can provide transitional living services.</p> <p>At the time of this writing, CRBH does not provide any further information about the program at Crossroads, however, two individuals polled by Rehabs.com indicated that the facility had poor-to-mediocre resources for treating co-occurring disorders, and that the center's holistic offerings were minimal.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>There is currently no information provided by the facility regarding its treatment staff, however, the two individuals polled by Rehabs.com to date on the staff's level of training and experience gave one and three out of five stars.</p> <p>The center is <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/KY17.pdf" target="_blank">one of the 75 (20.9 percent) of Kentucky treatment facilities</a> that is accredited by The Joint Commission. </p> <p><strong>ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES</strong></p> <p>There is currently no information provided by the facility regarding its living arrangements and related offerings. However, the two individuals polled by Rehabs.com to date gave Crossroads three and four out of five stars for accommodations and amenities. </p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>The single alum polled by Rehabs.com to date would not recommend treatment at Crossroads. "Basically just a detox program, no help unless you are a person of strong will," they wrote, adding that they received no individual counseling. The center's counseling options and ability to treat co-occurring disorders fared more poorly, with one star each.</p> <p><strong>WHAT STAFF SAY</strong></p> <p>The staffers who left reviews on secondary sites provided <strong>mostly positive opinions of CRBH's operations.</strong> To date, <strong>the 23 individuals to leave reviews on Indeed gave an average of 3.9 out of five stars.</strong> Some staffers gave negative feedback such as bad management.
