<p><strong>ABOUT CUMBERLAND RIVER BEHAVIORAL HEALTH</strong></p> <p>With 11 different locations across eight counties in southeastern Kentucky, Cumberland River Behavioral Health (CRBH) offers comprehensive substance abuse and mental, behavioral, and developmental health treatment services to individuals at all stages of life. <strong>Residential programs are available for men and women</strong>, as well as outpatient programming such as DUI services and transitional living.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>CRBH’s substance abuse programming operates under the belief that addiction is a progressive yet <strong>treatable biopsychosocial disease</strong>. Treatment is based on the <strong>12-step model</strong> and includes <strong>individual and group counseling</strong>, as well as crisis intervention and active involvement with drug courts.</p> <p>Case management services are available to pregnant women using drugs or alcohol through the <strong>KY Moms Maternal Assistance Towards Recovery</strong> program. This also provides education, screening, assessment, and treatment for <strong>pregnant women and women with infants</strong> under two months old. Women receive incentives upon completion of the program.</p> <p>CRBH operates Crossroads, a <strong>30-day non-medical residential treatment program for men</strong>. The program includes in-house 12-Step meetings, Recovery Dynamics groups, and education on stress management, relapse prevention, shame, and maintaining sobriety. Transitional living services are available after the 30-day period.</p> <p>The CHC program provides <strong><a href="https://www.recovery.org/pro/articles/reclaiming-the-feminine-in-recovery/" target="_blank">female-specific</a>, long-term residential rehabilitation</strong> lasting between nine months and two years. The first three appreciated the facility’s “good” counseling and one wrote, "brother recieved treatment and has improved." Despite this positivity, two of these satisfied loved ones still reported programs that were “not long enough.” </p> <p>The two negative reviewers both commented, "Need to be more educated." Admission to the Crossroad men’s program costs $400 and additional costs are based on an individual’s ability to pay.
