Substance use treatment includes <strong>inpatient care, an intensive outpatient program (IOP), and outpatient program (OP)</strong>. </p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>At Prairie View, substance use treatment begins with an evaluation to determine the best level of care. The <strong>inpatient Addiction Treatment Center (ATC)</strong>, located on the main campus in Newton, Kan., addresses both the substance use and the underlying factors that may contribute to addictive behavior. </p> <p>This comprehensive treatment approach, which builds upon the <strong>12-step model of recovery</strong> through group and other forms of therapy and interventions, seeks to resolve complicated issues and prevent relapses. Inpatient clients also engage in daily physical exercise, <strong>nondenominational spirituality groups</strong>, and participate in <a href="http://www.recovery.org/topics/extended-recovery-programs/" target="_blank">aftercare planning</a> during the program, which <strong>generally lasts 21 to 28 days</strong>. </p> <p>The <strong>IOP</strong> operates Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the organization’s East Wichita facility. Clients participate in <strong>nine hours of weekly group therapy</strong> as well as individual and family sessions. The IOP is held on a park-like campus at a satellite center. </p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>The two alumni polled by Rehabs.com to date provided positive feedback concerning the facility, both offering perfect five-star ratings for the cleanliness of the facility, level of staff experience and training, and its ability to treat of co-occurring disorders.
