ABOUT FIELDVIEW AT HOLLAND

Fieldview at Holland is a full-service treatment center in Wichita, Kan., conveniently located just minutes from Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport. All programs at the recently-opened 64-bed facility, spanning from medically monitored detoxification to residential and outpatient care, take a holistic, comprehensive approach in helping adults (18 and older) build a strong foundation for achieving life-long sobriety from drugs and alcohol.

Fieldview is among the only 14 percent of residential facilities in Kansas, and among the even smaller 8 percent of residential facilities to offer detox.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

The treatment process at Fieldview may vary widely from client to client. While some clients, upon completion of their initial assessment, begin with medically supervised detoxification, others may only require eight (or less) hours of outpatient care. All clients are supported with a personalized aftercare plan, including alumni events, as they return to their friends, family, and community.

Following a brief period in detox, clients typically continue with residential treatment. Residents typically spend the bulk of each day in group and individual therapy with licensed and/or master’s level counselors. Each week also offers regular opportunity for practicing yoga and meditation, 12-step meetings, exercise, art therapy, and more.

Those who opt for either partial hospitalization (PHP) or intensive outpatient (IOP) treatment benefit from a similar curriculum, yet one that runs on a more flexible schedule. In PHP, for example, participants meet at the center five days a week, four to eight hours a day before returning home each evening. IOP groups meet once to three times each week.

STAFF CREDENTIALS

Led by a medical director who is a board-certified family practitioner who is the current Chief Medical Officer of the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, medical and clinical staff at Fieldview includes advanced practice registered and other nurses, master’s level marriage and family therapists, and licensed professional counselors. Medical staff are available 24 hours a day.

The facility is accredited to offer substance use disorder services by the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services. It is one of 36 facilities to receive licensing from the state health department

ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES

Fieldview at Holland runs its programs and services from a series of homes and buildings. These homes are connected by walking paths and are rather modest in style. Rooms are shared and come pre-furnished. The facility has 64 beds.

Meals are prepared by a certified dietary manager and clients can enjoy them in a relaxed, communal setting. Following a seven-day blackout period, clients are permitted two adult visitors during designed times and with prior approval.

WHAT STAFF SAY

In the sole survey response for Rehabs.com to date, a staff member named Monica gave five- out of five-star ratings for the facility’s treatment effectiveness, accommodations, and meals. She also highlighted the center’s individualized treatment plans as well as its capacity to address dual diagnoses.

FINANCING

Fieldview at Holland accepts most major insurance plans. According to staff reviewer Monica, however, the facility does not accept Medicaid or Medicare.

CONCLUSION

Fieldview at Holland was opened in 2018, and local sources report it is one of the first facilities in Wichita to offer medical detox.
