<p><strong>ABOUT CROSSROADS ADULT REHABILITATION CENTER</strong></p> <p>Located a block from the Caloosahatchee River in Fort Myers, Crossroads Adult Rehabilitation Center is one of The Salvation Army’s 119 adult rehabilitation centers in the country. It is a <strong>faith-based, long-term residential rehab for adult men</strong>, particularly for those who are homeless and/or unemployed. <strong>Detox</strong> is not available on site.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>Treatment at Crossroads Adult Rehabilitation Center begins with lasts <strong>26 weeks</strong>. The lengthy duration is intended to increase the residents’ chances of successfully changing their habits with the goal of returning to work and reuniting with families. </p> <p>Treatment consists of basic medical care while attending a work rehabilitation program. Clients are provided with accommodations and basic life needs in return for working in the Salvation Army Family Store. This process is used to teach vocational, social, and healthy living skills. </p> <p>Treatment is based on the <strong>12-step</strong> principles and has a strong faith influence. Group counseling and individual therapy are also available to promote rehabilitation. Clients are assigned to case managers to oversee their work and facilitate treatment. </p> <p>Leisure activities and spiritual direction are encouraged during treatment. The facility promotes a holistic treatment method by providing guidance in all aspects of clients’ lives. They also awarded four stars for the staff’s level of experience, but just two stars for the facility’s counseling options, holistic offerings, and treatment for co-occurring disorders.
