<p><strong>ABOUT VALLEY HOPE - TEMPE</strong></p> <p>Founded in 1967, Valley Hope provides substance abuse treatment through 16 centers located throughout the Midwest. The facility based in Tempe, Ariz. is conveniently <strong>situated in the Rio Sureno Medical Plaza</strong>. Men and women living in the Phoenix metropolitan area may easily access a variety of outpatient services, including <strong>intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) and <a href="http://www.recovery.org/topics/extended-recovery-programs/" target="_blank">continuing care</a></strong>, on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Online counseling is also available. Detox is offered at other Valley Hope locations but is not provided on-site.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>Individuals who opt for intensive outpatient treatment can expect to remain in the program for <strong>six weeks</strong>. During this time, clients participate in <strong>nine hours of treatment each week</strong>. </p> <p>Valley Hope uses a disease-model approach to address addiction, combining <strong>individual therapy, group therapy, family counseling</strong>, and drug and alcohol education. Clients also learn about the <strong>12 Steps</strong>. In some cases, <strong>medication-assisted treatment</strong> is utilized.</p> <p>Those enrolled in continuing care participate in a one-hour session each week. Clients are encouraged to participate in a 12-step program.
