<p><strong>ABOUT COMMUNITY ADDICTION TREATMENT SERVICES (CATS)</strong></p> <p>Located in Fort Worth, Tex, the Community Addiction Treatment Services (CATS), which is a part of the Texas-based MHMR Tarrant mental health facility, offers <strong>adult and adolescent substance abuse treatment on an outpatient basis</strong>. Residential and ambulatory detox services are available at MMR’s Recovery Center, which is located just around the corner from the CATS facility.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>Each client at CATS goes through an initial screening and assessment process to determine the appropriate level of care. There is also a tobacco cessation program available at CATS to equip clients with treatment medications, effective relaxation techniques, coping skills, and improved thinking and attitudinal changes to help them quit. </p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>Although the facility’s site does not specify which professionals are on-site at CATS, MHMR has more than 2,000 staff members, which include psychiatrists, nurses, licensed social workers, therapists, teachers, case managers, dieticians, and other support staff. The two alumni surveyed by Rehabs.com at the time of this writing both gave the facility three out of five stars for its staff’s level of training and experience.</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>The two alumni who submitted ratings to Rehabs.com at the time of this writing gave CATS <strong>mixed reviews</strong>. One alum gave the facility four out of five stars for its family participation and counseling options, and indicated that the program was satisfactory.</p> <p>The other respondent felt the opposite, reporting Rehabs.com that “everything” was a weakness.
