<p><strong>ABOUT MESA SPRINGS</strong></p> <p>Located just off the Chisholm Trail Parkway in Fort Worth, Texas, Mesa Springs is a behavioral health hospital offering both <strong>inpatient and outpatient mental health and addiction treatment services to adults and adolescents 12 and older</strong>. The facility also offers a specialized program for clients with <strong>co-occurring disorders</strong>.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>Treatment at Mesa Springs is <strong>evidence-based</strong> and delivers individualized services. The facility uses some of the <strong>latest cutting-edge modalities in mental health and addiction treatment,</strong> including web-based <a href="http://www.cognitsa.com/" target="_blank">COGNIT®</a>, <a href="http://www.empower-interactive.com/solutions/good-days-ahead/" target="_blank">Good Days Ahead®</a>, and the <a href="http://www.hazelden.org/web/go/cooccurring" target="_blank">Hazelden® Co-Occurring Disorders Program</a>, as well as other practices.</p> <p>Clients are admitted to the inpatient program after a detailed <strong>clinical and medical assessment.</strong> The inpatient program offers <strong>24-hour nursing care</strong>, a controlled, structured environment, and up to <strong>10 hours of clinical programming each day.</strong> Regular treatment activities include <strong>group therapy, educational lectures,</strong> and fitness and wellness activities, including nutrition counseling, yoga, art, and pet therapy.</p> <p>Mesa Springs offers two outpatient options for clients who do not require inpatient treatment -- <strong>a partial hospitalization program (PHP)</strong> and <strong>an intensive outpatient program (IOP)</strong>. The PHP provides structured therapy five days per week, in which clients spend five to six hours each day involved in group therapy, dual-diagnosis groups, recreational and art therapy, and receive medication management as needed.</p> <p>The IOP, which involves <strong>nine to 15 hours of treatment each week</strong> depending on client need, follows the same treatment model as the PHP and utilizes many of the same therapeutic activities. <strong>Services for adolescents include a PHP and an IOP</strong>, along with <strong>acute inpatient services</strong> for clients needing stabilization.</p> <p><strong>Families are encouraged to participate in treatment</strong> through family therapy sessions and addiction education. An alumni support group is offered for clients who complete their initial treatment program. In addition, <strong>internet-based education and recovery tracking</strong> programs are available during and after treatment.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>The treatment team includes physicians, nurses, primary therapists, and recreational therapists.</p> <p><strong>ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES</strong></p> <p>Set on a private, park-like campus, the <strong>modern 72-bed facility</strong> boasts serene outdoor pavilions and plenty of activity space. The facility was “designed for comfort and healing,” according to the website. <strong>Clients share simple but comfortable bedrooms</strong> and have access to <strong>on-site workout facilities.</strong></p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>The sole alum surveyed by Rehabs.com at the time of this writing gave Mesa Springs highly positive feedback. The reviewer awarded the facility ratings of four or five out of five stars across 15 different evaluated metrics, including its treatment effectiveness, holistic activities, counseling options, and its staff’s level of training and experience. “A strength is that there is a full staff to attend to your needs,” the anonymous alum wrote.
