ABOUT REAL DEAL RECOVERY

Founded in 2015, Real Deal Recovery provides sober living support for men who have recently begun their recovery from drug and alcohol abuse. A self-described “clean living company,” Real Deal Recovery runs three Texas-based facilities, in Dallas, Richardson, and Plano. The center’s programming is designed to accommodate clients for six months or longer.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

Real Deal Recovery is intended for individuals who have completed inpatient treatment but are not yet ready to return to their everyday lives. While the organization does not provide treatment, clients are required to attend 12-step meetings three times per week, and recovery coaching is included for the first six weeks of residency. For an extra fee, coaching is also available after the initial six weeks of a client’s stay.

The center is highly structured; clients must adhere to a curfew, complete daily chores, find a sponsor, and agree to random urine tests. Within one month of admission, clients must secure a full-time job or enroll in school. Over time, as long as all requirements are met, clients gain privileges, including extended curfew hours and overnight passes.

STAFF CREDENTIALS

According to its website, Real Deal Recovery’s staff is comprised of individuals who have personal experience with recovery.

ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES

Real Deal Recovery’s Dallas-based home can accommodate up to six men at a time. Bedrooms are furnished with two twin beds and a flat screen TV, and the home includes a full kitchen, dining room, living room, and basement game room. All food is included as part of the program. During their stay, clients are provided with a membership to a local gym, and the home is located within walking distance of a bus stop.

WHAT ALUMNI SAY

When asked how likely they were to recommend Real Deal Recovery to others, the single alum polled by Rehabs.com rated the facility a perfect five stars.
