<p><strong>ABOUT COLUMBIA METRO TREATMENT CENTER</strong></p> <p>Located in West Columbia, S.C., Columbia Metro Treatment Center is an <strong>opioid addiction treatment</strong> center providing treatment and recovery services to adults in Columbia and the surrounding areas, including Cayce, Lexington, Forest Acres, Irmo Seven Oaks, Oak Grove, Dentsville, and Pine Ridge. </p> <p>Columbia Metro TC offers a broad range of <strong>outpatient treatment</strong> options, including counseling and <strong>medication-assisted treatment (MAT)</strong>. Columbia Metro TC is one of only <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/SC16.pdf" target="_blank">16 facilities (1.2 percent)</a> in South Carolina to offer a specialized opioid treatment program.</p> <p>Columbia Metro TC is affiliated with <a href="https://newseason.com/" target="_blank">New Season</a>, a nationwide group of accredited opioid addiction treatment centers that was founded in 1986 and currently operates more than 70 facilities in 21 states.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>Treatment is offered on an <strong>outpatient</strong> basis only. It consists of <strong>individual, <a href="https://www.recovery.org/pro/articles/the-pain-of-addiction-in-the-family-how-counseling-can-help/" target="_blank">family</a>, and group counseling,</strong> medical exams, and referrals to community-based resources to help support ongoing recovery.</p> <p><strong>MAT</strong> is available through the use of <strong>methadone, buprenorphine, or Suboxone</strong>, which helps to manage cravings and withdrawal symptoms. Take-home medication privileges are available once clients meet certain criteria. Clients enrolled in MAT may also participate in regular counseling sessions to address the underlying causes that may contribute to addictive behavior. </p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>The treatment team consists of doctors, nurses, and counselors. All New Season treatment centers are accredited by the Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), which comprise <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/SC16.pdf" target="_blank">62.3 percent</a> of treatment facilities in South Carolina.</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>At the time of this writing, Rehabs.com has not received any feedback from alumni of Columbia Metro Treatment Center. However, <strong>alumni on secondary review sites gave mixed reviews of the facility</strong>. The anonymous reviewer rated all aspects evaluated four or five out of five stars, including the holistic offerings, counseling options, and treatment for <a href="http://www.recovery.org/topics/dual-diagnosis-recovery/" target="_blank">co-occurring disorders</a>.The loved one indicated that her significant other "really liked the place and what they had to offer. Nothing but praises came out of her mouth." </p> <p><strong>FINANCING</strong></p> <p>While there is no information available on the Columbia Metro TC website regarding the cost of treatment, a reviewer on CiteHealth wrote indicated that it was $365 dollars a month as of 2009. The New Season website indicates that all of its facilities accept payments via cash, debit or credit card, and <strong>some forms of insurance</strong>.
