<p><strong>ABOUT WADDINGTON REHAB CENTER</strong></p> <p>Waddington Rehab Center (WRC) is a <strong>19-bed</strong> treatment center for individuals struggling with substance abuse. Whether receiving <strong>short-term (one to four weeks) or</strong> <strong>long-term (four to 14 weeks) treatment</strong>, clients cultivate a deeper sense of patience and perseverance through practicing self-discipline, mindfulness, and other practical strategies.</p> <p>In addition to attending <strong>12-step meetings</strong>, residents partake in psycho-educational classes and have access to <strong>medication-assisted treatment (MAT),</strong> when and where complete abstinence is extremely difficult. <strong>Spiritual counseling</strong> also is available at the facility’s on-site interfaith chapel.</p> <p><strong>Family involvement</strong> is considered a valuable component to a client’s successful long-term recovery. As such, WRC holds <strong>two-day educational seminars</strong> for family members to learn about the recovery process. The facility also schedules <strong>family</strong> <strong>visitation hours</strong> on Sundays. Toward the completion of the program, residents develop <strong>relapse prevention plans</strong> and have ongoing 24-hour access to staff.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>WRC’s multidisciplinary treatment consists of a physician, nurse practitioner, psychiatrist, physical therapist, dietitian, and other spiritual and holistic practitioners.</p> <p><strong>ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES</strong></p> <p>The non-hospital setting houses up to <strong>19 clients in either private or shared rooms</strong> that feature flat-screen TVs with free cable. Meals are prepared in an on-site commercial kitchen. Clients eat together in a large dining room.</p> <p>When not in therapy, clients have access to a number of amenities, including a <strong>gym/exercise room, entertainment room with a pool table, and small library</strong>. Residents also can make long distance phone calls.</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>The two former client who submitted a review to Rehabs.com to date are divided. One gave the facility a perfect five-star rating for overall effectiveness of treatment, accommodations, and meals. H.S. told Rehabs.com: “This facility changed my life.” On the other hand, Ang gave only two stars for treatment effectiveness and one star for ots accommodations, describing rooms as "bare and cold."</p> <p><strong>WHAT FRIENDS & FAMILY SAY</strong></p> <p>The sole loved one who has reviewed this facility for Rehabs.com gave a positive experience. They provided a top five-star rating for counseling options, the level of family participation, and the experience and training of staff. S.R., when asked about the strengths of the facility, wrote: “Programmed for individual needs. MD & Nurse practitioner available for Medical Need.” They added: “This is a new facility, personal, individual touch is still there. Very homely , friendly staff. Close to downtown Pittsburgh yet in a quiet residential area.”</p> <p><strong>WHAT STAFF SAY</strong></p> <p>Three staff members, to date, responded to the Rehabs.com poll with perfect five-star ratings. All have been current staffers at Waddington, each of whom used the opportunity to issue nothing but praise for their place of business. J.H. reported: “The staff is very professional and knowledgeable. The program is very individualized to each client.” W.S. added: “Counseling sessions are very comfortable for the patient.”</p> <p>W.M. wrote: “Counseling services, medical services, knowledge of treatment, willingness to help anyone who needs help were all strengths of the facility.” However, they noted that “there is a low number of staff.” Nevertheless, “the facility is well maintained and the staff there is courteous, friendly, and caring.”</p> <p><strong>FINANCING</strong></p> <p>The facility accepts private insurance, such as Highmark Blue Cross/Blue Shield Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Delaware; Value Behavioral Health in a number of PA counties; and Perform Care in several PA counties. <strong>Medicare and Medicaid are not accepted</strong>. Those who don’t have insurance coverage may pay out of pocket. The private pay out-of-pocket fees are <strong>$350/day</strong>.</p>
