Additionally, it is one of <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/OR16.pdf" target="_blank">115 (51.6 percent)</a> facilities in the state with a specifically-tailored track for individuals suffering from <strong><a href="http://www.recovery.org/topics/dual-diagnosis-recovery/" target="_blank">co-occurring disorders.</a></strong></p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>According to Center for Family Development’s website, the center offers a unique program that offers <strong>personalized treatment for individuals with substance abuse problems and their families.</strong></p> <p>The center offers a wide range of services including co-occurring disorders services and support, diagnostic assessments, group and individual therapy, <a href="https://www.recovery.org/pro/articles/the-pain-of-addiction-in-the-family-how-counseling-can-help" target="_blank">family therapy,</a> recovery skills training, alcohol and drug education, <strong>urinalysis tests, relapse prevention planning, and <a href="http://www.recovery.org/topics/extended-recovery-programs/" target="_blank">continuing care.</a></strong></p> <p>The center’s website indicates the facility is community-based, which provides patients with emotional support. Together, the patients can discuss coping skills, identify strengths and talents, and envision recovery. </p> <p>To better individualize treatment, the center holds a variety of specialized groups for its clients, such as a <strong>Tools for Recovery Group</strong>, Alcohol and Other Drug Education and Recovery Group, Recovery Concepts Group, <strong>Women’s Recovery Group</strong>, and Tobacco Cessation Group. In Oregon, the facility is among the 58.8 percent of facilities to offer <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/OR17.pdf" target="_blank">specialized programming for women</a>.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>The Center for Family Development’s website indicates its treatment team includes certified alcohol and drug counselors, and therapists certified as qualified mental health professionals.<br /> The one alum surveyed by Rehabs.com at the time of this writing gave four out of five stars for the staff's level of training and experience. </p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>The sole alum who was surveyed by Rehabs.com at the time of this writing had a positive experience at the center. This former client agreed that they would recommend the center to others. They also gave the Center for Family Development gave four stars for family participation, counseling options, and the center's treatment of co-occurring disorders. </p> <p>"They taught many different aspects of addictions," the alum wrote. "How it affects you, loved ones, friends, and any future children. They also teach you different tools and ways to change your behavior into a positive attribute. They answered questions in a way that was understandable. The staff was very knowledgeable and courteous." </p> <p><strong>FINANCING</strong></p> <p>There is currently no information about the cost of treatment on the center’s website. However, the sole Rehabs.com survey respondent to date gave four stars when asked if treatment was worth the cost, but three stars for the center's affordability overall.</p>
