The Institute provides a comprehensive range of <strong>inpatient and outpatient care options for chemical dependency and psychiatric issues</strong>.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>Summa Health runs three separate inpatient units to meet the unique needs of adults and older adults: a <strong>42-bed unit for adults, a 21-bed unit for older adults, and a 12-bed detoxification unit</strong>. In addition to receiving treatment for issues of anxiety, schizophrenia, depression, pain management, and traumatic stress, inpatients, when in need, may also be recommended for <strong>electroconvulsive therapy (ECT)</strong> and psychiatric consultation.</p> <p>Of its many outpatient services, Summa Health provides <strong>medication management</strong>, ongoing private and group therapy as well as a variety of flexibly scheduled <strong>intensive outpatient programs (IOP)</strong>. Meeting three to four days a week, a few hours at a time, IOPs are offered in the areas of general psychiatry, chemical dependency, and posttraumatic stress.
