<p><strong>ABOUT RESTORATION OF GREENSBORO</strong></p> <p>Restoration of Greensboro located in Greensboro, N.C., operates provides <strong>outpatient opioid addiction treatments</strong> for adults that are seeking treatment for substance abuse. It is one of North Carolina’s <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/NC17.pdf" target="_blank">361 outpatient facilities and one of 49 (3.7 percent) Opioid Treatment Programs (OTPs)</a>. Detox is not available. </p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>The Greensboro clinic provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT) through a combination of <strong>Suboxone and counseling.</strong> In 2017, <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/NC17.pdf" target="_blank">4.1 percent of North Carolina’s treatment population participated in MAT treatments</a>. Clients must be in good medical health (free of conditions that require ongoing medical help) and stable enough for treatment to participate. </p> <p>All clients begin by attending weekly counseling, which then tapers to once a month when the program is well established. Counseling is offered in individual and group settings, using both <strong>12-Step facilitation and a variety of evidence-based methodologies</strong>. These include <strong>cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational enhancement therapy (MET),</strong> and contingency management (CM), which uses positive reinforcement. Counselors also focus sessions on skill-building. The <a href="https://www.recovery.org/pro/articles/did-aa-save-my-life/" target="_blank">12-Step</a> program is used in <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/NC17.pdf" target="_blank">328 facilities across the state</a>. Medical checkups too are offered in a tapering fashion, beginning with weekly meetings and reducing to every six months.</p> <p>All clients must comply with a urine drug test each time they attend the facility. The majority of facilities <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/NC17.pdf" target="_blank">(more than 88 percent of facilities)</a> use urine tests to ensure compliance with sobriety guidelines. </p> <p>In addition to opioid addiction, the facility offers treatment for a range of other conditions. The facility provides pain management services for muscle pains like chronic back pain. It also provides treatments for Fibromyalgia and several neuropathy options to help clients address chronic pain that interferes with their lives. </p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>Restoration is run by a team of substance abuse counselors, psychiatrists, and psychologists. The team also includes nurses and physicians trained in substance abuse and addiction treatment to oversee the MAT practices.
