ABOUT FREEDOM HOUSE

Freedom House is a crisis-centered, faith-based nonprofit rehabilitative program for women seeking to overcome chemical dependency and “spiritual poverty.” Located in Greensboro, N.C. and founded in 2006 to help keep families together, the nine to 12-month residential recovery program was designed to help mothers and their children regain their footing in life through counseling, parenting education and support, and services for children. As programming is grounded heavily in the 12 steps, women spend ample time here developing a relationship with Christ.

Freedom House is one of just 184 (39.0 percent) nonprofits in the state of North Carolina, and one of just 18 (3.8 percent) to offer residential beds for children.
