<p><strong>ABOUT BREATHE. A CENTER FOR WELLNESS</strong></p> <p>Located in Concord, N.C., about an hour and a half outside of Charlotte, Breathe. A Center for Wellness is one of the <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/NC16.pdf" target="_blank">144 (29.4 percent)</a> centers in the state that provides <strong><a href="https://www.recovery.org/pro/articles/why-do-people-drink-and-drive-the-answers-are-pretty-jarring/" target="_blank">DWI (driving while intoxicated)</a> assessments and treatment for adults</strong>.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>Before beginning a program, a <strong>confidential clinical interview</strong> with a counselor is conducted to determine the level of education and/or treatment services needed.</p> <p>Treatment offerings include a <strong>16-hour ADETS program</strong>, which is designed for clients who had a blood alcohol reading of .14 or less when they were pulled over, didn't refuse to take a breathalyzer test, and had no prior DWI charges.</p> <p>The <strong>short-term outpatient program</strong> lasts 20 to 39 hours, depending on assessment results. Classes are held Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. There is also a 40- to 89-hour <strong>long-term outpatient program</strong>, which must be completed in no less than 60 days but no more than 90 days. It also meets on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. </p> <p>Breathe also offers a la carte <strong>individual counseling</strong> services, as well as individual and group breathing and yoga sessions. According to its website, aromatherapy is also a part of each therapy session. </p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>Breathe's treatment team includes a licensed clinical addictions specialist. The sole Rehabs.com survey respondent to date, a staff member, awarded five stars for the staff's level of training and experience, as well as five stars for the available counseling options.</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>Rehabs.com has yet to receive reviews from this facility’s alumni; however, on Breathe. A Center for Wellness's Facebook page, which the facility has the ability to edit, Breathe received a perfect average rating of <strong>five out of five stars based on 10 reviews</strong> to date.<small class="footnote"><a target="_blank" href="#footnote-1"><sup>[1]</sup></a></small> "A Professional and excellent resource," former client S.C. wrote, while another alum added that the staff were "always compassionate and never judgmental."</p> <p>To date, ratings were high on Google as well, where seven reviewers produced a 4.7 out of five-star average.<small class="footnote"><a target="_blank" href="#footnote-2"><sup>[2]</sup></a></small> "Breathe feels like a safe space, and the staff is amazing," one representative reviewer wrote. The anonymous reviewer awarded the facility four or five out of five stars across all evaluated metrics, including treatment effectiveness, cleanliness, holistic offerings, treatment of co-occurring disorders, counseling options, and admissions and discharge procedures.</p> <p><strong>FINANCING</strong></p> <p>According to the facility's website, Breathe takes Blue Cross Blue Shield, Carolina Behavioral Health, and Cigna. There is a <strong>$100 fee for DWI assessment</strong>, and other costs vary by program.
