Editorial Review

ABOUT CONCORD METRO TREATMENT CENTER

Located in the community of Concord, N.H., Concord Metro Treatment Center is one of 68 private treatment facilities operated by New Season, a nationwide treatment provider. Concord Metro Treatment Center specializes in providing outpatient services for adults recovering from opioid addiction. Treatment utilizes a combination of medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and counseling, and this is one of the only eight facilities in the state with a dedicated Opioid Treatment Program (OTP).

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

The facility’s primary treatment approach is its medication-assisted treatment (MAT) regimen, which utilizes either methadone (used at 11.9 percent of treatment facilities in the state), buprenorphine, or Suboxone (used at 49.3 percent of state treatment centers). Medications are discussed with a doctor to determine which is the most effective for each client. Along with MAT, clients also participate in a weekly schedule of individual, family, and group counseling sessions to help clients understand the nature of addiction and triggers, and develop long-lasting recovery plans.

In order to start treatment, clients must be in withdrawal. During an initial assessment, a custom treatment plan is determined by a physician-led team. There are two phases of treatment through New Season: introduction and maintenance. During the introduction phase, in the first few weeks, clients frequently meet with their counselors and their medication is regularly monitored to ensure stabilization. In the maintenance phase, a steady state of medication is achieved, and patients work to heal past issues and further their goals. This phase focuses on developing vocational stabilizations, relationships, and overall well-being.

STAFF CREDENTIALS

Concord Metro Treatment Center employs a multidisciplinary team of physicians experienced in addiction medicine, substance abuse counselors, registered nurses, and treatment service coordinators. The single alum surveyed by Rehabs.com to date provided four out of five stars for the center staff's level of training and experience.

WHAT ALUMNI SAY

The sole alum polled by Rehabs.com at the time of this writing, Kelly, praised the effectiveness of the program.
