<p><strong>ABOUT CENTERPOINTE</strong></p> <p>Located in central Lincoln, Neb., CenterPointe offers nearly 30 programs to assist <strong>individuals experiencing low income and homelessness</strong>, including those struggling with chemical dependency. <strong>Long-term and short-term residential programs</strong> provide treatment for men and women struggling with <strong>co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders</strong>. Detoxification services are not provided. </p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>Approaching addiction as a chronic disease, treatment at CenterPointe supports physical, psychological, and social recovery with particular emphasis on clients who have <a href="http://www.recovery.org/topics/dual-diagnosis-recovery/" target="_blank">received a dual diagnosis</a>. In addition to its core programming, clients are also encouraged to participate in a <strong>12-step program</strong> or to pursue other means of spiritual wellness.</p> <p>Residential rehab and transitional housing programs last <strong>six to eight months</strong> and incorporate multiple daily group sessions, including education, <strong>skills development such as budgeting and cooking</strong>, dialectical behavior therapy, and recreational therapy, on- and off-campus. Psychiatric and nursing care are available, and <strong>loved ones are encouraged to participate in the recovery process</strong>.</p> <p>A <strong>45-day residential program</strong> called Touchstone applies the same model as longer-term treatment. Clients may also choose outpatient care, which may include counseling, psychiatric treatment, and <strong>medication management</strong>.</p> <p>Trained and untrained artists may participate in a <strong>creative arts program</strong> designed to support individuals struggling with mental illness and substance abuse. Several other community support groups are available as well as housing support for diverse individuals, including veterans.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>Among the more than 180 employees referenced on the facility’s website, several have worked with CenterPointe for more than 15 years. The treatment team’s director is a master’s-level licensed alcohol and drug counselors and independent mental health practitioners.</p> <p><strong>ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES</strong></p> <p>There are 10 CenterPointe facilities located in Lincoln, in addition to coordinated housing, and another facility recently opened in Omaha. Adults aged 19 and over share rooms in the short-term and long-term rehab facilities, which are set on <strong>tobacco-free campuses</strong>.
