<p><strong>ABOUT HEARTLAND CENTER FOR BEHAVIORAL CHANGE</strong></p> <p>Founded in 1982, Heartland Center for Behavioral Change operates addiction treatment facilities around <a href="http://www.rehabs.com/listings/heartland-center-for-behavioral-change-kansas-city-community-center-kccc--3377584181/" target="_blank">Kansas City</a>, Springfield, and Southwest Missouri. The organization is a private nonprofit, which make up <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/MO17.pdf" target="_blank">72 percent</a> of substance abuse treatment facilities in Missouri. The length of treatment varies according to each client's needs. In addition to comprehensive assessments, the programs typically include <strong>individual and group counseling</strong>, self-help groups, and educational groups, as well as <strong>medication assistance</strong>. Two of the former clients, an anonymous male and an anonymous female both between the ages of 18 and 25, gave the facility high ratings of four or five out of five stars for its cleanliness, its treatment of <a href="https://www.recovery.org/topics/dual-diagnosis-recovery/" target="_blank">co-occurring disorders</a>, and its family participation. "Truly care and allow family to help," wrote one anonymous alum in a representative review.
