ABOUT THE AQUINAS CENTER

With more than 18 facilities throughout the state, including a center in Pilot Knob, Southeast Missouri Behavioral Health, Inc. offers treatment to adults struggling with substance use disorder, mental health problems, or co-occurring disorders. The location in Farmington β€” also known as the Aquinas Center β€” provides outpatient services. The facility does not provide medically supervised detoxification services, but does offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) through affiliated physicians in the area.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

Upon admission into the program, clients undergo an initial substance abuse assessment to form an individualized treatment plan. C-STAR is the Aquinas Center’s community-based, nonresidential treatment program, which offers three levels of treatment β€” intensive community-based outpatient, intermediate outpatient, and long-term outpatient. The first level is the most structured, and the last level aids in maintaining therapeutic gains.

All programs follow evidence-based practices and include individual counseling, group therapy, and family therapy, along with 12-step facilitation.
