The center's services for substance use disorders include <strong>residential and outpatient programs,</strong> along with <strong>detox services,</strong> a feature offered at only <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/MA16.pdf" target="_blank">28 (7.9 percent)</a> of hospital-based facilities in the state. The treatment center also offers gender-specific programming.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>According to the center's website, VA Boston's treatment team works with clients and their loved ones to <strong>create a personalized treatment plan</strong>, which should help the client address their specific concerns. The plans are formed through initial <strong>psychiatric assessments and substance abuse assessments</strong>.</p> <p>If necessary, the treatment center offers detox in a safe inpatient setting. Most <strong>clients stay in detox for three days</strong>, but can stay longer depending on their medical needs. Clients who require detoxification may be referred to the facility's residential treatment for intensive programming and supervision.
