Aftercare services are offered to sustain a client’s progress.</p> <p>Clients in need of immediate withdrawal support can enroll in the detox program. Medications are not provided in the detox program. Instead, techniques like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) are used to promote persistence and coping.</p> <p>The residential and outpatient programs include individual and group counseling, 12-steps programming, and sober living educational components. Clients participate in daily individual sessions, as well as weekly education and group counseling sessions. Family therapy is also available to rebuild support networks.</p> <p>Early intervention services are available for clients in need of immediate recovery support. Interventions can be set up to help clients begin the recovery process. Likewise, prevention services are provided to educate potential clients about the issues surrounding behavioral health and substance abuse, as well as how to avoid future issues.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>The treatment team at River Valley Behavioral Health includes <strong>certified alcohol and drug counselors</strong> operating under the guidance of a physician. The facility is CARF accredited and staff members maintain the appropriate credentials.</p> <p><strong>ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES</strong></p> <p>According to River Valley Behavioral Health’s website, residents live in <strong>two staffed apartments in town</strong>. Their diagnosis, medication prescribed and the personal time given to me have been 100 % accurate in both the physician and counseling areas.”</p> <p><strong>WHAT STAFF SAY</strong></p> <p>At the time of this writing, Rehabs.com received feedback from one staffer of River Valley Behavioral Health's Residential Chemical Dependency Program.</p> <p>The former employee felt the chemical dependency program did a good job treating co-occurring mental health disorders with experienced and well-trained staff. However, the staff member noted several concerns related to leadership of the program. They gave a mediocre three stars (out of five) for the management’s willingness to put clients' interests firsts and felt treatment was not client-centered, but rather “by the books.” “Extremely poor-sighted management who never talk to front line workers to resolve issues,” the anonymous staffer wrote.</p> <p><strong>FINANCING</strong></p> <p>River Valley Behavioral Health accepts private insurance, as well as Medicare and Medicaid.
