Editorial Review

ABOUT ASPIRE INDIANA, INC.

Located in Anderson, Ind., Aspire Indiana, Inc. is a large health system that provides a continuum of services ranging from primary care doctors to behavioral health. Its addiction services division offers intensive outpatient (IOP) and outpatient care for adults and adolescents struggling with addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders. While detox is not available at this location, medication assisted recovery therapy is available on an outpatient basis.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

Although residential treatment is available at other locations of Aspire Indiana, Inc., the Anderson location only offers outpatient and IOP programs. Treatment includes individual, group, and family therapy with a licensed therapist, as well as a medication assisted recovery therapy.

The intensive outpatient (IOP) treatment program takes place three hours per session, three times per week. This program is intended to help clients as an initial phase of treatment.

The PRIME for Life program uses evidence-based treatment to help clients on an outpatient basis. The First Steps program meets weekly for individuals with minor alcohol or addiction issues that would not be eligible for more intensive treatment options. Additionally, SAFE is a one-time session that offers education prevention programming.

Additionally, relapse prevention groups are available twice weekly for those who have completed treatment once before but have experienced a relapse. There are also youth substance abuse services for adolescents ages 11 to 18.

STAFF CREDENTIALS

The treatment team consists of licensed clinical social workers, licensed therapists, life skills coaches, and physicians.

ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES

Little information is available about the Aspire Indiana, Inc.’s facilities, except that it offers many of its services from a doctor’s office.

WHAT ALUMNI SAY

A single alum submitted a review to Rehabs.com to date for the Anderson location of Aspire Indiana, Inc. The alum gave a mixed review: four out of five stars for connectivity, cleanliness, and the counseling options available, and just two out of five stars for staff experience, affordability, and the facility’s holistic offerings. When asked, on a scale from one to five, whether they would recommend treatment here to others, the alum remained neutral.

The alum also wrote: "Not clear enough on whats expected to complete program. They need more help in mental awareness and addiction treatment. More people who have better knowledge."

Reviews elsewhere online at the time of this writing were also mixed. The facility's Facebook page, which Aspire Indiana has the ability to manage, had 108 ratings that averaged 4.1 out of five stars to date.[1] In a review representational of what many disgruntled people said, Sandy gave one star and wrote: "Aspire used to be a great place to get help but about a year and a half ago they changed everything. They turned into this VERY uncaring place. I used to be seen once a week then when things changed." They also added, "This place angers me now. It's like you're just a number to them now."

On the other hand, Malina left a four-star rating and wrote: "I was in a very bad dark place and Aspire help me 4 years to get back on my feet and to get back to a right mental state of mind I'm a lot stronger I'm more capable of handling things on my own now."

WHAT STAFF SAY

Though Rehabs.com has yet to receive feedback from staffers, secondary review site Glassdoor had 11 ratings for Aspire Indiana that averaged 2.3 out of five stars.[2] Several were from employees of the Anderson facility. For low income patients, a sliding fee scale is available for those who self-pay.

[1] https://www.facebook.com/pg/AspireIndiana/reviews/?ref=page_internal
[2] https://www.glassdoor.com/Reviews/Aspire-Indiana-Reviews-E424101.htm
