<p><strong>ABOUT THOREK MEMORIAL HOSPITAL - INPATIENT MEDICAL DETOXIFICATION</strong></p> <p>An acute care facility located in Chicago, Ill., Thorek Memorial Hospital has been offering healthcare to local Chicagoans since 1911. Thorek Memorial Hospital - Inpatient Medical Detoxification (TMH Detox) provides <strong>medically-managed detox services for adults seeking treatment for opiate and alcohol withdrawal</strong>. After finishing the detox program, clients can be referred to other treatment programs.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>TMH Detox begins treatment with an admissions assessment with medical personnel. Clients can also be referred to the facility from other programs as the first step of treatment. Clients meet highly trained medical practitioners to determine their treatment needs. </p> <p>Treatment at TMH Detox includes 24/7 monitoring and medication management during the detox process. Clients stay in a secure facility with supervision by nursing staff until they have been stabilized. Clients receive medication on an as-needed basis to handle withdrawal symptoms. </p> <p>As clients begin to stabilize, they are evaluated for medical conditions that could affect their further treatment. Medical support for these conditions may be provided given each client’s specific situation and the facility’s resources.</p> <p>Once a client is stabilized, that client can be referred to other programs for continued treatment. Based on the client’s condition, he or she can be referred to other medical treatment programs to address specific medical concerns. </p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>The treatment team at TMH Detox includes addiction recovery specialists, nurses, and physicians. A multidisciplinary team administers detox treatment and provides monitoring services. Thorek employs over 250 physicians with various major specialties. Administrative teams also contribute by planning referrals and other documentation for transfers to other facility programs.</p> <p><strong>ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES</strong></p> <p>Clients at TMH Detox stay and recuperate in clinical accommodations. Visiting hours are from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Parking is free for clients and visitors. A cafeteria is available weekdays 7:30 to 10 a.m. for breakfast, 11:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. for lunch, 2 to 4 p.m. for snacks, and 4 to 6 p.m. for dinner. On weekends the cafeteria is open 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for lunch.
