<p><strong>ABOUT THE WOMEN’S TREATMENT CENTER</strong></p> <p>Located in Chicago, The Women’s Treatment Center (TWTC) offers family-based addiction treatment to adult women. The facility offers <strong>residential and outpatient services, as well as specialized programs for pregnant or postpartum women with children up to six years old.</strong> A 24-hour, <strong>medically monitored 16-bed detox unit is located on-site.</strong></p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>According to The Women's Treatment Center's website, in an initial assessment, each client’s medical, psychiatric, and substance abuse history is taken, and an individualized treatment plan is created accordingly. There is a 16-bed <strong>medically-supervised detox</strong> unit for adult women.</p> <p>Participants in the <strong>residential program</strong> receive <strong>25 hours of clinical services per week.</strong> Programming includes <strong>individual counseling, addiction education, medication monitoring, referrals for additional mental health services</strong>, and parenting services. There is a special track for women and their children, as well as women struggling with mental health disorders.</p> <p>Regular groups offer <strong>intensive trauma-informed treatment using the Trauma Recovery and Empowerment model,</strong> which is an evidence-based approach to treating post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in women. Other process groups focus on topics such as relapse prevention, family reconciliation, women’s issues, stress, anger management, and job readiness.</p> <p>Intensive outpatient (IOP) treatment is often used as a step-down program for graduates of the residential program, and offers up to 12 hours of weekly treatment. There’s also a <strong>specialized outpatient program, called Project Futures, for women in danger of losing custody of their children,</strong> as well a <strong>transitional living recovery house</strong> for clients who have completed residential treatment but wish to remain in a structured, supportive, and sober community.</p> <p>On an outpatient basis, a Methadone maintenance program is available.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>The center's website notes The Women's Treatment Center's treatment team consists of a <strong>medical doctor, a certified advanced alcohol and drug counselor</strong>, and a registered nurse.</p> <p><strong>ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES</strong></p> <p>The facility's website indicates there are <strong>three residential units set within the main facility</strong> at The Women's Treatment Center. "It is difficult to extend yourself to support the patients because staff tend to be so overwhelmed with work that they are unavailable to assist and support each other as a team.
