<p><strong>ABOUT HOUSE OF T.I.M.E., INC.</strong></p> <p>Located in Columbus, Ga. House of T.I.M.E., Inc., is a non-profit that is one of <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/GA17.pdf" target="_blank">51 (17.5 percent)</a> facilities in the state to provide <strong>long-term residential treatment to women who are homeless and are struggling with substance abuse.</strong> In addition, it is one of Georgia's only <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/GA17.pdf" target="_blank">143 (49 percent)</a> treatment centers where programming is <a href="https://www.recovery.org/pro/articles/reclaiming-the-feminine-in-recovery" target="_blank">specifically tailored to women.</a> Before entering treatment, women must be detoxed and have a clean drug screen.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>According to the facility's website, <strong>residents typically stay at House of T.I.M.E., Inc. for nine to 24 months.</strong> However, clients must make at least a nine-month commitment. </p> <p>The treatment center helps clients address things such as sexual, physical, and emotional abuse, along with lack of education and poor health care. The center aims to <strong>teach clients life the skills needed for independent living.</strong> </p> <p><strong>The residential program is comprised of three phases</strong>. During the first phase, residents are expended to <strong>attend at least four weeks of structured day and evening treatment.</strong> Intensive addiction treatment needs and general health concerns are addressed during this phase. </p> <p>During phase two, <strong>clients are told to find employment while still participate in structured day and evening programs</strong>. Residents are required to go to at least six meetings per weeks. Clients in this phase are also taught about working and saving money. <strong>Residents must open a savings account and deposit part of her income into the account.</strong> </p> <p>Residents in phase three should be paying rent, utility, and food bills while learning to budget. Women in this phase should be ready for independent living, and <strong>will obtain housing with the help of a residential management.</strong> </p> <p>The treatment center's <a href="http://www.recovery.org/topics/extended-recovery-programs/" target="_blank">aftercare program</a> is another six months. During this program, clients are mentored by an aftercare manager and life skills counselor to help with the transition to normal life. </p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>The facility's website notes the treatment team at House of T.I.M.E.S. includes <strong>two primary counselors, a residential management, clinical coordinator, and a life skills counselor.</strong> The center also has a licensed therapist assistant and a GED teacher on contract. </p> <p>The three alumni polled by Rehabs.com at the time of this writing gave five-, four-, and three-star ratings out of five respectively for the staff's level of training and experience. </p> <p><strong>ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES</strong></p> <p>The center's website indicates residents live in traditional houses or apartments, which are shared with four to seven other women. The residents share chores such as cooking, cleaning, and other household duties. </p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>Of the three alumni surveyed by Rehabs.com at the time of this writing, feedback was largely positive with a few noted critiques.</p> <p><strong>Two alumni gave five out of five stars when asked if they would recommend House of T.I.M.E., Inc.</strong> "I am an addict that this program, gave me a chance and have taught me how to live, without to use of drugs and alcohol," C.J. wrote, giving four-star ratings for extracurricular activities, family participation, and affordability.</p> <p>"Wonderful opportunity for homeless women to recover and get back on thier feet," S.C. also praised. However, S.C. did remark upon a lack of funding, and provided low, two-star ratings for counseling options and the center's holistic offerings. </p> <p>The third alum, who remained anonymous, provided four stars when asked if they would recommend the treatment center, as well as four stars for whether or not treatment at this facility was worth the cost. The alum commented upon favoritism, but still also offered some praise for the center. "This place can help you turn your life around if you do as you are suppose to." </p> <p>To date, the 17 individuals who left reviews on the facility's Facebook page, which they have the ability to manage, provided an average 4.8 out of five stars.<small class="footnote"><a target="_blank" href="#footnote-1"><sup>[1]</sup></a></small> Many alumni praised the center on Facebook and credited the staff and center with saving their lives. "This is the place I got my life back Thank God for the staff that coach me through my long year that I spent there trying to get my soberity and it paid off I got my life back," alum S.K. wrote in a representative review. </p> <p>The sole Google user to date provided a five-star rating for the center, adding, "Totally life changing saved my life so grateful for this place."<small class="footnote"><a target="_blank" href="#footnote-2"><sup>[2]</sup></a></small></p> <p><strong>FINANCING</strong></p> <p>According to the facility's website, there is no cost to individuals entering House of Time's program. After a client is employed during Phase II, they are required to give 30 percent of their paycheck back to the treatment center.
