ABOUT THE NEXT DOOR

The Next Door (TND) offers holistic, faith- and evidence-based addiction rehab treatment programs designed exclusively by and for women. From a modern, three-story building in Nashville, the state-licensed facility delivers a full continuum of care including medically-monitored detoxification, residential treatment, and various outpatient tracks.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

Many women begin their recovery journey with a detox under the care and supervision of an around-the-clock nursing staff. During this initial treatment stage, averaging three to five days in length, women may begin attending processing groups, 12-step based groups, and relapse prevention groups.

At the highest level of care, the Residential Treatment Program offers women a fully-immersive and highly structured recovery. With sessions and groups scheduled throughout day and evening, women learn essential life skills, develop healthier attitude changes and behavior patterns through cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and participate in creative therapies and spiritual development opportunities. Family therapy, in addition to individual counseling and group therapy, also make up part of the treatment curriculum.

Women with less severe issues have access to three levels of outpatient treatment, all featuring similar services. Combining the intensity of residential treatment with flexible scheduling, the PHP track is designed either as a step-down option (or access directly), for women with a supportive and stable living environment in place. Here, women meet five hours a day, five days per week. Those unable to take away time away from family or work commitments, however, may opt for the intensive outpatient (IOP) program, which takes place three hours a day, for up to four days per week. Finally, the outpatient program serves women seeking less than five hours of treatment per week.

Each month, clients and their loved ones learn about addiction, improved communication skills, and setting healthy boundaries through the facility’s Family Enrichment Program. All clients, upon graduating, receive ongoing aftercare support through its Lifetime Recovery Management (LRM) program.

STAFF CREDENTIALS

The Nashville-based facility employs a diverse staff of medical, clinical, operations, and human resources efforts. The multidisciplinary treatment team consists of licensed master’s level mental health addiction counselors, clinical social workers, a board-certified psychiatrist, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and creative arts and wellness instructors.

ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES

The facility hosts women in fully-furnished semi-private rooms with large windows. The common area, featuring bar-style seating and couches, comes equipped with a full refrigerator and a coffee machine. Women share their meals together in the large dining room.

WHAT ALUMNI SAY

At the time of this writing, two alumni have submitted reviews to Rehabs.com. The reviews were mixed, but mostly negative.

Alum S.Z. gave just one out of five stars for the frequency of meetings and the consistency of meetings, and two stars for both the availability of counselors and whether they received the level and frequency of counseling promised. C.S also gave mediocre three-star ratings for the staff's level of training and experience, the cleanliness of the facility, and the overall effectiveness. She gave mere one-star ratings for the holistic treatment offerings, connectivity/visitor policy, exercise and leisure provisions, and counseling options.

Contrary to feedback collected by Rehabs.com, 16 reviews on the center's Facebook each rated The Villa Center, Inc. five out of five stars.[1] In a representative review, alum Rosa wrote: "I'm still sober till this day I'm getting close to 5 months, and I just want to Thank all the staff there who made this possible, and endured all of my tantrums and little attitude when I was feeling low!"

FINANCING

There is currently no information provided by the facility regarding its treatment costs, yet the three Rehabs.com survey respondents, despite their complaints, unequivocally considered treatment to be both affordable and worth the cost.

[1] https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Villa-Center/162293367127619
