<p><strong>ABOUT SHARP GROSSMONT HOSPITAL</strong></p> <p>In a residential area of San Diego, Calif., Sharp Grossmont Hospital is one of just <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/CA16.pdf" target="_blank">39 facilities in the state</a> to offer hospital inpatient treatment services to adults. Built off more than 50 years of experience, the hospital provides a <strong>range of behavioral health treatment services</strong>, through its various <strong>residential, partial hospitalization (PHP), and outpatient treatment programs.</strong> The facility has a specialized older adult program, which was <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/CA16.pdf" target="_blank">only offered by 24.3 percent of California facilities in 2016</a>.</p> <p>The hospital makes no specific mention of whether detox is available or not.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>Depending on their specific needs and circumstances, adults and older adults may benefit from the hospital’s <strong>various specialized residential programs.</strong></p> <p>The <strong>Mood Disorder Program</strong> is designed for adults struggling with mental health issues such as anxiety and depression. Group therapy sessions make up the bulk of this program, which is designed for adults seeking intensive treatment in a nonrestrictive setting. All shared anonymously: one described the amenities and treatment care as “good;” another applauded the “caring and determined” staff; and a third enthusiastically called the hospital the “best center” they’ve yet to come across.</p> <p>All three loved ones gave <strong>treatment effectiveness five out of five stars</strong> along with high, four- and five-star ratings for counseling options, the fairness of the facility's connectivity policy, and family participation. Two of these individuals gave four or five stars for all categories, but the third gave three star ratings to meals and nutrition, holistic offerings, affordability, and the admissions and discharge procedures. Still, this respondent gave exclusively above-average ratings and had nothing to write when asked about facility weaknesses. </p> <p><strong>WHAT STAFF SAY</strong></p> <p>While Rehabs.com had yet to receive staff feedback at the time of this writing, 87 employees of the hospital as a whole expressed satisfaction to Indeed, where the average rating is 4.4 stars.<small class="footnote"><a target="_blank" href="#footnote-4"><sup>[4]</sup></a></small> Many commented upon the <strong>positive atmosphere</strong> here, and one staff member wrote, "There is a culture of shared responsibility, friendliness and acceptance," in a representative review. </p> <p><strong>FINANCING</strong></p> <p>In addition to its Sharp Health Plan, the hospital accepts an extensive list of private insurance providers including Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthCare, and more.
