<p><strong>ABOUT AMS OF WISCONSIN LLC</strong></p> <p><a href="http://www.addictionmedicalsolutions.com/" target="_blank">Addiction Medical Solutions LLC</a> (AMS) is an addiction treatment provider with locations in Maryland, Florida, Delaware, and Wisconsin. AMS of Wisconsin, which is located just off Interstate 90 in Onalaska, provides <strong>outpatient</strong> treatment to adults struggling with substance use disorder. The facility is also one of just four substance abuse treatment facilities in the state to provide <strong>medically managed detox.</strong> In addition, the rehab provides <a href="https://www.recovery.org/topics/medication-assisted-treatment/" target="_blank">medication-assisted treatment (MAT</a>) to adults battling opioid addiction.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>Treatment begins with a <strong>comprehensive evaluation</strong> by medical and counseling staff, from which an <strong>individualized treatment plan</strong> is created.</p> <p>The facility utilizes <strong>evidence-based</strong> practices, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing (MI), to treat clients on an outpatient basis β€” typically those who have already completed a residential treatment program. </p> <p>MAT treatment for opiate addiction combines counseling with <strong>methadone maintenance</strong>, which is offered by <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/WI17.pdf" target="_blank">26 percent</a> of all substance abuse treatment facilities in Wisconsin. Buprenorphine is also offered as a medication option. </p> <p>AMS has three levels of treatment β€” <strong>intensive outpatient (IOP), outpatient (OP), and <a href="http://www.recovery.org/topics/extended-recovery-programs/" target="_blank">aftercare</a></strong>. The IOP, a program modality offered by <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/WI17.pdf" target="_blank">36 percent</a> of all outpatient treatment facilities in the state, is the most intensive level of care and meets for three hours a week, three times a week. The OP meets once a week, and aftercare is arranged based on the specific needs of each client. Day and evening treatment sessions are available.</p> <p>In addition, AMS offers a la carte counseling services and components, including <strong>discharge and transition planning</strong>, access to multicultural resources, relapse prevention workshops. introduction to <strong>12-step meetings</strong> and other self-help groups, drug screenings, and legal advocacy.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>Led by a <strong>medical director,</strong> the treatment team includes <strong>certified substance abuse counselors</strong>, licensed clinical social workers, and registered nurses.</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>While Rehabs.com has not yet received any reviews from this facility’s alumni, AMC of Wisconsin earned an average rating of <strong>4.3 out of five stars</strong> based on 18 Google reviews.
