<p><strong>ABOUT NORTHWEST RESOURCES II INC</strong></p> <p>Headquartered in Olympia, Wash., Northwest Resources II (NWR) operates five substance abuse and mental health treatment facilities. In Shelton, 20 miles northwest of Olympia, NWR offers a <strong>residential facility for men only</strong> — one of <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/dasis2/nssats/n2016_st_profiles.pdf" target="_blank">151 rehabs</a> in Washington State with dedicated programming for men. Elsewhere, the center provides <strong>outpatient care at varying intensities,</strong> including numerous DUI programs. NWR does not provide medical detox, but when appropriate, it does provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) using <strong>Suboxone or Vivitrol.</strong></p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>Across its facilities, NWR uses a variety of <strong>evidence-based techniques</strong> to treat its clientele, such as motivational interviewing (MI), <a href="http://www.rehabs.com/pro-talk-articles/seeking-safety-an-evidence-based-model-to-address-trauma-and-addiction-together/" target="_blank">Seeking Safety</a>, and moral reconation therapy (MRT), along with 12-step facilitation.</p> <p>At the residential center, men stay for varying periods, until they're ready to leave. Options include an <strong>intensive outpatient program (IOP),</strong> which clients attend for at least nine hours a week, for up to 12 weeks. During this time, they participate in <strong>individual and group counseling</strong> and educational sessions, and are required to attend self-help sessions. </p> <p>Concerning the <strong>standard outpatient program,</strong> clients attend less than nine hours of treatment per week, in schedules and durations designed to meet their own individual needs. A <strong>relapse-prevention program</strong> meets once or twice a week for 12 weeks.</p> <p><strong>DUI services</strong> consist of assessment, a victims impact panel, and deferred prosecution services. NWR also provides support for <a href="http://www.recovery.org/topics/dual-diagnosis-recovery/" target="_blank">co-occurring mental-health conditions</a> through services such as mental health assessments; medication evaluations and monitoring; and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). </p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>Staff includes certified counselors and a psychiatric nurse practitioner. The single individual polled by Rehabs.com to date, themselves a staffer, gave the facility four stars for the experience levels of its medical, mental health, and addiction staff.</p> <p><strong>ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES</strong></p> <p>The 16-bed NWR men's residential location offers <strong>four double rooms and eight single rooms.</strong> The facility's website emphasizes the therapeutic importance of a good night's sleep, supported by comfortable beds, and an on-site chef prepares nutritious meals. "Out to make money. They put people through treatment who don't need it," Chad wrote in a representative negative review on Google.</p> <p><strong>WHAT STAFF SAY</strong></p> <p>The single staffer polled by Rehabs.com to date gave very positive feedback.
