Medical detox is not available on-site.</p> <p>Russian and Ukrainian are spoken at this facility, and most treatment services are available in Russian, making Alternative Counseling <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/dasis2/nssats/n2016_st_profiles.pdf" target="_blank">one of just 16 facilities in Washington State</a> that provides language services in a foreign language other than Spanish or Native American/Alaska Native languages.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>The length of treatment varies according to the individual client's needs, and Alternative Counseling aims to offer flexible scheduling, with appointments available on evenings and weekends.</p> <p>For chemical dependency, there's an <strong>intensive outpatient program (IOP)</strong> and general outpatient care, as well as a relapse prevention program. Other specialist services for individuals struggling with substance misuse include DUI programming and marijuana awareness classes. And beyond addiction treatment, the center also offers anger-management treatment as well as mental-health and family counseling.</p> <p>Treatment is offered in <strong>individual, group, couples', and family settings.</strong> Alternative Counseling aims to provide the latest evidence-based treatment options, and focuses on <strong>behavioral treatments,</strong> holding that since behaviors are learned they can be modified or changed. And if the center doesn't provide the kind of services you need, or you need further treatment after graduating from Alternative Counseling, the center can give you a referral to services in the community.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>Alternative Counseling is staffed by chemical dependency professionals and chemical dependency professional trainees, some of them educated to master's level.
