<p><strong>ABOUT INTERCEPT ASSOCIATES IN FEDERAL WAY, WA</strong></p> <p>Founded in 1984 and located in Federal Way, Wash., Intercept Associates is a <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/WA17.pdf" target="_blank">private, for-profit facility, which make up about 40 percent</a> of all treatment facilities in Washington; it offers <strong>outpatient treatment to adults struggling with drug and alcohol dependency</strong>. It is <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/WA17.pdf" target="_blank">one of the 298 (75.3 percent) of Washington treatment facilities</a> that offers intensive outpatient programs (IOP). The facility also offers various courses meeting court order requirements for <a href="https://www.recovery.org/pro/articles/how-understanding-anger-revolutionizes-addiction-recovery/" target="_blank">anger management</a>, shoplifting, and substance abuse.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>According to Intercept Associates' website, to be admitted, potential clients must contact the facility directly to schedule an evaluation. The facility offers an <strong>outpatient program, an intensive outpatient program, and a relapse prevention program</strong>.</p> <p>In addition, Intercept Associates offers <strong>walk-in urinalysis, individualized counseling sessions, family intervention, anger management classes, Alcohol/Drug Information School (ADIS), and a Consumer Awareness Program</strong>. Completion reports for all Intercept Associates programs can be sent to court or probation officers when necessary.</p> <p>The outpatient program at Intercept Associates is designed for individuals who have been diagnosed with substance abuse, but who are not completely dependent on alcohol or substances. The intensive outpatient program (IOP) is designed for clients who have been diagnosed as early or middle stage alcoholic/chemically dependent. The IOP lasts for <strong>nine months</strong> when completed during the day, or <strong>eight months</strong> when completed in the evenings.</p> <p>The Relapse Prevention Program is for individuals who have completed recovery and suffered a relapse. In both the Intensive Outpatient Program and the Relapse Prevention Program, clients are required to attend <strong>support group meetings twice a week</strong>. Clients in all three programs are required to maintain total abstinence from alcohol and other mind-altering chemicals, and must also submit to random drug screening.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>The treatment team at Intercept Associates includes an executive director, counselors, and chemical dependency professionals.
