<p><strong>ABOUT BRADFORD HEALTH SERVICES</strong></p> <p>Bradford Health Services, located in Cookeville, Tenn., offers one of <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/TN17.pdf" target="_blank">116 intensive outpatient treatment programs in the state</a>, as well as <strong>medical detox, and an <a href="https://www.recovery.org/topics/extended-recovery-programs/" target="_blank">aftercare</a> program for adults and adolescents</strong> seeking treatment for drug addiction or alcohol dependency. Bradford Health Services is a large network of addiction treatment facilities and has been in operation for over 30 years. The Cookeville location is one of 29 facilities.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>The treatment process at Bradford Health Services begins with a comprehensive assessment performed by a team of specialists. Each client is assessed in order to determine their specific needs and to determine if they are ready for treatment. Then, staff members help them start the recovery process. </p> <p>Bradford Health Services provides an <strong>abstinence-based treatment program</strong> that includes the <strong>12-Step</strong> model. The 12-Steps program is used in <a href="https://www.samhsa.gov/data/sites/default/files/cbhsq-reports/2017_NSSATS.pdf" target="_blank">73 percent of U.S. treatment facilities</a> and is a favorite model for faith and long-term recovery treatment plans. Clients participate in weekly <a href="https://www.recovery.org/topics/alcoholics-anonymous-12-step/" target="_blank">12-Step meetings</a>. </p> <p>Clients also participate in group therapy sessions and educational courses. Each session focuses on the specific needs of the group in order to help clients overcome specific issues that they face in treatment. The educational courses focus on relapse prevention and substance abuse education. </p> <p>Clients have access to a detox program that provides 24-hour access to medical staff and detox facilities. Only <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/TN17.pdf" target="_blank">19 percent of outpatient facilities in the state</a> offer detox services. Gender and age groups are kept separate for detox services. </p> <p>After program completion, the Cookeville location offers <strong>continuing care services</strong> for adult and adolescent alumni to assist in sustained sobriety. These aftercare services include referrals to Bradford Health Services’ alumni association, ongoing monitoring and support, and referrals to community-based resources.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>The facility employs a team of counseling and therapy specialists, as well as a medical team to oversee detox practices. Clients may also work with administrative and volunteer staff members as well. One alum polled by Rehabs.com gave five out of five stars for the level of staff experience and training.</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>At the time of this writing there has been one alum polled by Rehabs.com. The reviewer gave the Bradford Health Services four out of five stars or higher in every category. She gave five out of five stars for the level of family participation, cleanliness, holistic offerings, and would strongly recommend the facility to others. She indicated that there are many counseling options to choose from, that the facility is adequately equipped and staffed to treat co-occurring mental health problems. She noted that a strength of the facility was that “Everyone there truly acted like they cared.” She also added the following commentary: “I'm really glad I went.
