<p><strong>ABOUT SOUTH DAKOTA HUMAN SERVICES CENTER</strong> </p> <p>Located just off Highway 81 in Yankton S.D., which is about 70 miles northwest of Sioux City, Iowa, the South Dakota Human Services Center (SDHSC) is a licensed hospital operated by the state’s Department of Social Services. The facility provides <strong>inpatient for adult South Dakota residents</strong> struggling with substance abuse, among other mental and behavioral health services. Psychiatric services may include medication management, counseling sessions, educational classes, therapeutic recreation, and case management. </p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>The adult substance abuse treatment team includes a <strong>psychiatrist, registered nurse, social worker,</strong> and direct-care case manager, as well as a registered dietitian, occupational therapist, physical therapist, psychologist, speech/hearing pathologist, and audiologist.
