<p><strong>ABOUT REBOUND BEHAVIORAL HEALTH</strong></p> <p>Located 10 miles north of Lancaster, S.C., Rebound Behavioral Health provides a comprehensive suite of treatment services for individuals struggling with behavioral health problems. In addition to its psychiatric services, the center offers <strong>drug and alcohol detox, inpatient treatment, partial hospitalization (PHP), and intensive outpatient (IOP) programs.</strong> Programming for both adult and adolescent clients is available, and <a href="http://www.recovery.org/topics/dual-diagnosis-recovery/" target="_blank">dual diagnosis treatment</a> is available.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>Prior to admission, clients participate in a <strong>needs assessment,</strong> which is conducted by phone. Those who require medical attention for withdrawal-related symptoms begin their treatment with inpatient detox. <strong>Detox is medically managed and lasts between five and seven days.</strong> During this time, clients participate in therapeutic activities and have access to a 24-hour nursing staff.</p> <p>Depending on their needs, clients who complete detox may transition to inpatient treatment or PHP. Clients enrolled in the PHP have the option to reside on-campus while undergoing treatment. While the interdisciplinary staff works with each client to create an individualized care plan, <strong>treatment is largely group-focused</strong> and supplemented by individual and family therapy. Clients may also receive medication management and participate in <strong>holistic and experiential treatment activities.</strong></p> <p>Functioning as a step between inpatient care and standard outpatient, the IOP program meets three hours per day, three days per week, for up to 12 weeks. Programming includes <strong>12-step groups, educational sessions, and random urine dug tests</strong>, alongside traditional counseling. <a href="http://www.recovery.org/topics/extended-recovery-programs/" target="_blank">Aftercare planning</a> is available before discharge.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>According to Rebound’s website, the staff includes psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses, licensed social workers, substance abuse counselors, recreational therapists, and behavioral health technicians. </p> <p><strong>ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES</strong></p> <p>Rebound Behavioral Health’s campus is located on <strong>50 acres of scenic countryside.</strong> The facility is surrounded by pine trees, manicured grounds, shaded walking paths, and picturesque ponds. The <strong>co-ed residential center can accommodate up to 42 individuals</strong> at a time. Photos of the facility indicate that clients have access to a communal space used for recreation and socializing. </p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p><strong>The one alum polled by Rehabs.com submitted a mixed review of Rebound,</strong> rating the program’s treatment effectiveness with four out of five stars, but giving the center’s accommodations, exercise and leisure options, and counseling options respective ratings of one, two, and two stars. This anonymous alum described the facility itself as “poor” and was critical of the center’s management. “Very Good Staff…I felt that they tried to help but they were handcuffed by the management attitude that we were inmates not people needing assistance,” they wrote. </p> <p>Reviews submitted to third-party sites were mixed. There is miscommunication amongst the doctors and nurses,” alum Jeff wrote. Alum Regina, also a one-star reviewer, characterized the counselors as “egotistical” and “unorganized.” </p> <p><strong>WHAT FRIENDS & FAMILY SAY</strong></p> <p>Rehabs.com has not yet received any reviews from Rebound’s affiliated friends or family members. The handful of <strong>reviews submitted to third-party sites by loved ones were mostly negative.</strong> Most loved ones were dissatisfied with the <strong>lack of communication between staff and family members.</strong> Loved one Francine wrote on Google: "Today I have picked up my son with less than 24 hours notice, and we live 5 hrs away. I was not allowed to speak to my son because he had no phone privileges???? Are you kidding me?"</p> <p>Only Chip, a Google reviewer, offered a recommendation in his four-star review. “For the PHP they really worked with her gaining the ability to return to a normal productive life,” he wrote. </p> <p><strong>FINANCING</strong></p> <p>According to its website, Rebound <strong>accepts Medicare</strong> and, in some cases, Medicaid.
