ABOUT PAVILLON GREENVILLE OUTPATIENT SERVICES

Located in Greenville, S.C., Pavillon offers one of the state's 47 (43.5 percent) outpatient-based drug and alcohol treatment programs for men and women who do not require the supervision of an inpatient or hospital setting. One of 38 (35.2 percent) private, CARF-accredited nonprofits in the state, Pavillon also offers 50 residential beds for men, women, and young men at its 160-acre campus in North Carolina.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

The goals of outpatient treatment at Pavillon of Greenville are many. Depending on individual needs, program participants may come to terms with their need to change their behaviors, improve the quality of their relationships and friendships, develop coping tools and improve “spiritual strengths” to achieve a more balanced lifestyle and reintegrate successfully back into their community, if outpatient care is part of a treatment continuum.

At its core, outpatient programming takes a gender-responsive approach to facilitate open and honest discussions on issues specific to men and women. Relapse prevention and aftercare support groups help program participants confront their concerns and challenges of recovery during and post-treatment. Programs are also equipped to address co-occurring mental health disorders, which may include medication management.

To treat clientele, the facility offers day and evening programs, workshops on recovery and improving life skills, individual and couples counseling, addiction psychiatry and medicine, relapse prevention therapy, and yoga sessions.

Pavillon of Greenville also offers a family program that provides education and empowerment for those interested in taking an active role in their loved one’s recovery. The three-day program takes place in Mill Spring, N.C., Pavillon’s main location, and runs from Thursday evening to Saturday afternoon. Registration is required.

STAFF CREDENTIALS

The Greenville location employs two physicians who are board-certified in the fields of addiction medicine, psychiatry, and family medicine.

WHAT ALUMNI SAY

While Rehabs.com had yet to receive feedback from former clients of this facility to date, secondary sites revealed slightly-above average ratings. One Google user to date provided five out of five stars and praise for a particular staff member, while another alum gave only a two-star rating.[1]

On Facebook, which the center has the ability to manage, a higher average rating of four out of five stars was based on five reviews to date.[2] However, the only written commentary critique both the staff and the center's insurance policies.

WHAT FRIENDS & FAMILY SAY

The sole loved one polled by Rehabs.com to date, an anonymous family member, found the outpatient center “clean and well organized” but costly, at least for those without insurance.

FINANCING

According to the facility's website, the outpatient program at Greenville offers treatment that is “affordable and billable to insurance.” The center is in-network with BlueCross BlueShield and United Health.
