<p><strong>ABOUT NORTHEAST HUMAN SERVICES - SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER SERVICES</strong></p> <p>Northeast Human Services (NHS) is a CARF-accredited, community-based, non-profit with facilities and services across eight states on the east coast. Substance Use Disorder Services, located in northwestern Philadelphia, is one of just <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/PA16.pdf" target="_blank">58.3 percent of non-profit facilities</a> in Pennsylvania. It is one of 381 state-wide facilities to provide <strong>evidence-based outpatient treatment services</strong> and educational programming for adult men and women faced with addiction or <strong>co-occurring disorders</strong>.</p> <p>Additionally, it is one of the only <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/PA16.pdf" target="_blank">13.8 percent of facilities to offer medically monitored detox</a>, including Methadone and Suboxone, in the state on Pennsylvania.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>According to the facility’s website, clients and their families may choose from <strong>standard or intensive outpatient (IOP) programs</strong>, depending on their specific needs. One former client surveyed by Rehabs.com at the time of this writing gave the facility five out of five stars when asked about the staff’s level of training and experience.</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>Two alumni have been polled by Rehabs.com to date. The first applauded the center’s “unique” treatment services and gave <strong>perfect five out of five star ratings for every metric</strong>, such as the level of family participation, visitor policies, treatment effectiveness, counseling options, and holistic offerings. This former client remarked that the center’s strength is that it’s “caring” and wrote "nothing" when asked about weaknesses.</p> <p>The other alum noted that he made a personal choice to enter this facility and remained for 30 to 60 days. However, this individual commented that he did not complete treatment but instead moved to a different NHS location.
