Clients who require a higher level of care may be referred for a full day of PHP and then "step-down" to a lesser-intensive track. According to the facility's website, PHP care is <strong>suitable for individuals transitioning from a residential or detoxification program</strong>.</p> <p>The program makes use of various evidence-based treatment methods, including by not limited to <strong>clinician-led individual and group counseling sessions</strong>, educational classes, and attendance at <strong>local peer-based support groups</strong>, such as Alcoholics Anonymous.</p> <p>Specialized services include a <strong>co-dependency group, a women’s-only group</strong>, <a href="http://www.recovery.org/topics/dual-diagnosis-recovery/" target="_blank">a dual diagnosis group</a>, as well as groups tailored to meet the individual where they are in their recovery (i.e., initial recovery vs. relapse prevention and maintenance).</p> <p>Clients struggling with opioid addiction may be recommended for the facility’s <a href="http://www.recovery.org/topics/medication-assisted-treatment/" target="_blank">medication-assisted treatment (MAT)</a> program, which works by minimizing opiate cravings and alleviating withdrawal symptoms as much as possible through Suboxone. MAT participants are also required to attend five individual and group counseling sessions each week.</p> <p>The PHP track consists of about <strong>20 hours of group and individual sessions per week</strong> (three to four hours a day, five days a week). The program averages about three months but can range anywhere from one to six months. The <strong>IOP involves six hours of weekly programming</strong> (three days per week) and lasts between six and eight weeks. Clients in IOP must attend two 12-step meetings each week.</p> <p>In addition to its outpatient programming, Open Door runs <strong>educational classes for individuals charged with a DUI</strong>. Along with undergoing a DUI evaluation and substance abuse assessment, DUI clients attend <strong>highway safety courses</strong> and educational classes on the risk of substance abuse. The DUI program may also satisfy court requirements for driver license reinstatement.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>The clinical team at Open Door includes a physician experienced in addiction medicine, licensed chemical dependency counselors, therapists, a RN Nurse Navigator, and a criminal justice staff.</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>In the sole survey response for Rehabs.com to date, an anonymous alum celebrated most areas of treatment that they participated in. Citing the counselors as a facility strength, the alum awarded Open Door four out of five-star ratings for its counseling options and quality of discharge planning, as well as a five-star rating for its staff's level of training and experience. They did, however, admit that some counselors felt “too rigid” during groups.</p> <p><strong>FINANCING</strong></p> <p>Open Door accepts private insurance. Payment plans may be available for services; however, the costs for court-ordered clients to attend an educational program are $225 for in-county arrest and $250 for out-of-county arrests.</p>
