IN HARRISBURG, PA</strong></p> <p>Mazzitti and Sullivan Counseling Services, Inc. was founded in Harrisburg, Pa. in 1983 <strong>to help adults and children facing mental health disorders and drug and/or alcohol addiction</strong> throughout eastern Pennsylvania. Since then, the established organization, has expanded its services from a building in Harrisburg to four more offices, which accounts for <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/PA17.pdf" target="_blank">five of the 211 (42 percent) private for-profit facilities in the state</a>.</p> <p>The Harrisburg location offers <strong>individual counseling, intensive outpatient (IOP) and partial hospitalization (PHP) groups</strong>.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>Mazzitti and Sullivan Counseling Services, Inc. provides <strong>individualized treatment</strong> by assigning each client to a licensed clinician upon intake. As the center specializes in treating both substance abuse and mental health issues, clients may receive treatment that involves evaluation and assessment, <strong>DUI education, drug screening, and both individual and family therapy</strong>. It is among the <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/PA17.pdf" target="_blank">20 percent of Pennsylvania facilities with specialized services for clients with a DUI</a> or DWI.</p> <p>Counseling for mental health covers a range of commonly experienced issues such as depression and anxiety, <strong>anger and stress management, grief and loss</strong>, trauma, and abuse. <strong>Parenting support</strong> is also offered here. The sole Rehabs.com survey respondent as of this writing, an anonymous alum, gave the organization ratings of four or more stars for a variety of areas including treatment effectiveness, accommodations, holistic opportunities, program affordability, staff’s level of training and experience, and co-occurring treatment. “One of our meeting facilitator' is a recovering addict herself, so she knows how we all felt with dealing with addiction,” the alum wrote.</p> <p>Despite this alumni's positive experience, <strong>eight Google reviewers left the Harrisburg location a meager average rating of 2.0 out of five stars on their experience</strong>.
