<p><strong>ABOUT PYRAMID HEALTHCARE - RIDGEVIEW TEEN RESIDENTIAL INPATIENT TREATMENT CENTER</strong></p> <p>Located in Gibsonia, Pa., Pyramid Healthcare operates the Ridgeview Teen Residential Inpatient Treatment Center. It is one of two adolescent residential facilities operated by Pyramid Healthcare, Inc., and one of <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/PA16.pdf" target="_blank">Pennsyvania’s 123 facilities that offer programs for adolescents</a>. Designed to treat <strong>teenagers seeking treatment for chemical dependency and <a href="https://www.recovery.org/topics/dual-diagnosis-recovery/" target="_blank">co-occurring disorders</a></strong>, Ridgeview offers a <strong>residential program and outpatient-based services</strong>. If necessary, <strong>on-site medical detox</strong> is available, as well as <strong>medication-assisted therapy (MAT)</strong> to the alleviate the discomfort of withdrawal.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>The treatment process at Riverview starts when <strong>clients first participate in an initial assessment, which is used to determine an appropriate level of care</strong> and develop an individualized treatment plan. The <strong>12-Step</strong> program is used in nearly <a href="https://www.samhsa.gov/data/sites/default/files/2016_NSSATS.pdf" target="_blank">48% of treatment facilities</a> in the U.S. Clients in the residential program also participate in <strong>weekly individual and family counseling sessions</strong>, which are designed to identify the underlying causes of addition. </p> <p>To facilitate addiction education, treatment includes five group counseling sessions per week to learn <strong>coping skills, relapse prevention techniques, and emotion regulation.</strong> These courses can help clients prevent problems in the future by teaching them to control different aspects of their lives. That way, they are less likely to relapse. </p> <p>Pyramid also utilizes medication-assisted therapy (MAT) using <strong>Methadone or Suboxone</strong> to reduce withdrawal symptoms. In U.S. detox programs, <a href="https://www.samhsa.gov/data/sites/default/files/2016_NSSATS.pdf" target="_blank">nearly 26% use Suboxone for opioid detox</a>. In addition, clients regularly attend <strong>12-step meetings</strong> and participate in recreational therapy. <br /> Pyramid also emphasizes family involvement, such as family education classes and counseling sessions, as an integral component of adolescent treatment programs. The facility’s <strong>state-licensed academic program,</strong> led by certified teachers<strong>,</strong> helps ensure that residents do not fall behind in their studies.</p> <p>To address any <a href="http://www.recovery.org/topics/dual-diagnosis-recovery/" target="_blank">co-occurring mental health disorders</a>, Ridgeview provides <strong>psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management</strong>. Once a client completes residential treatment, they are encouraged to transition into an outpatient program. It is a CARF-accredited facility, which only accredits <a href="https://www.samhsa.gov/data/sites/default/files/2016_NSSATS.pdf" target="_blank">28% of U.S. facilities</a>. </p> <p><strong>ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES</strong></p> <p>Ridgeview provides clients with <strong>gender-specific housing</strong> with shared bedrooms. Clients have access to workout equipment, and regularly participate in recreational activities. Smoking is allowed at Pyramid Healthcare’s adult treatment facilities. During treatment, clients dedicated some time to volunteering within the community.</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>The single alum to provide feedback about Pyramid Healthcare’s Ridgeview Teen Residential Inpatient Treatment Center was negative. Pyramid also helps clients that cannot afford treatment through financial aid or other methods as necessary. </p> <p><strong>CONCLUSION</strong></p> <p>Pyramid Healthcare is looking to expand the resources in the community to clients with special needs.
